Jo, the publican, was very friendly when we checked in. She gave us a better, ground floor room for my disabled grandma (I did not even have to ask).
All staff in the pub were very helpful both at dinner and breakfast.
The room has recently been refurbished, everything was very clean and new. Very good value for money for the 3 of us.
Good food in the pub at dinner. Tasty full English breakfast, with fruit, cereals and yogurt also available.

I used to live in Swindon and there are parts to avoid, ann the bottom of town isn't what it used to be, but for a great night out, there is Old Town. For country walks there is Lydiard Park and Coate Water. The surrounding villages and towns and close to the Cotswolds, Swindon is great for a central point

MacArthur Glenn outlet was good. Homesense too
Swindon has too many terrible drivers, who drive too fast & too close. There need to be traffic calming measures & more traffic lights.
Terrible, inconsiderate drivers can't be trusted to obey rules & use roundabouts properly.

The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations.
The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and fully equipped. The only negative was the bed was slightly smaller than a double which was a shame as a king size would have easily fitted.

There are some lovely parks in Swindon that if you are staying for leisure are worth a visit; Coate Water near junction 15 of M4; Lydiard Park near junction 16.
The Town centre isn’t much to write home about, but a visit to the Great Western Train Village and Museum is very worthwhile. There is also a Macarther Glenn designer, Outlet Centre that is easy to get to with ample parking. At the outlet centre, we enjoy eating at Wagamama's. If you venture over to Greenridge, there is a Fiesta de Cuba restaurant. The meals are great and the price is very reasonable. We find just having a main is ample. It’s our favourite restaurant. Swindon has great transport links to reach surrounding areas; Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Chippenham are all within shouting distance.

East access to nearby attractions, the M4 and major roads.
East access to nearby attractions, the M4 and major roads. The town itself, both the Old- & and New-town, is a little faded and run down in parts but overall fairly vibrant. Very good range of restaurants to suit most tastes. The pubs I visited were all warm and friendly with decent beer. Never any problems walking around the well signposted town daytime and evening. Overall a surprisingly interesting place surrounded by outstanding areas such as the Cotswolds, the Marlborough Downs and several classical English villages
I liked the hotel. It was clean, and the staff was very helpful. The bed was good. The room was a decent size for a family of four.
The gym is well equipped as well.
The main reason for travelling was to get away with kids. And the swimming pool for the kids was the highlight. They enjoyed the swimming pool, and the hotel was kid-friendly - no 'funny schedule' for kids to be allowed in the pool. This is something that will make me come back.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious (especially scrambled eggs) although breakfast options unclear and ordered in advance. Decor great and in keeping with it's heritage. Location was excellent admidst boutique shops, a walk or bus ride downhill to Swindon town centre. Parking was handy at the rear of the hotel. Mattress was comfortable although bedframe not so much.
So much better than the ‘chain hotels’ in Swindon. By far the best experience we have had locally. The staff were accommodating, the room was of a very good size and was great they accommodated our dog. The bathroom was the best I’ve had in a hotel, heated floor - say no more! The shower was huge, powerful and hot.
Very adequate stay, one of few Pet Friendly hotels in Swindon, location is fine and free parking on site. Price we paid was fine, however this was with £19 credit from my booking.com wallet applied, I can't say I'd have been happy paying full price when comparing facilities to a Travelodge or even the Village.
Really lovely hotel, nestled away in the countryside, but minutes away from Swindon. The buildings are lovely and maintained to a high standard, although still maintain plenty of character. The staff were all consistently really friendly and extremely helpful and made such a difference to the stay.
The proximity to the motorway but it wasnt noisy. The proximity to town centre as well. The layout of the pub/hotel was perfect. Light, clean and modern. Breakfast was great and value for money and more so because it was cooked fresh for us and wasn't sitting around under hot lights.
Sprawling conference centre and rooms in the countryside south of Swindon, well signposted, plenty of parking, well run hotel, good size comfortable rooms, large dining room and comfortable bar area, excellent value for money.
Convenient for town centre. Parking not too expensive and information sent in advance by hotel, so we went straight to car park where the ticket could be validated by hotel. Friendly greeting by reception staff.
We had initially booked another IHG hotel in Swindon but we’re relocated on arrival as no room’s available.on arrival Charmaine at reception was very helpful quickly checking is in and sorting out a taxi for us.
Hotel is a huge facility but remained very historical, building was amazing - The nature, the garden was very impressive. It has a huge car park so if you come by car, you don't need to worry about parking.
The hotel was excellent, super clean, new and the best part was that they accepted our dog and were really friendly with him. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. We would definitely come back.
Attractive apartment in an historic row of cottages. Very well equipped. Easy to reach Swindon railway station and town centre amenities. Attentive and helpful host.
Room very comfy. Breakfasts very good. Staff excellent. Good car parking and the hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy. Good value for the price we paid.
