Loved the city, although be prepared for a lot of steep climbs. An e-bike tour is the perfect way to start your trip as you see the main sites in one 3 hour ride and can decide on what to revisit. Food is varied and there are an abundance of cafes and restaurants and it's so easy for an English speaker. There are the Porto must-dos of a tram ride to Foz, a port tasting tour and a visit to Livrarian Lello, an inspiration for part of Hogwarts. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly

A lovely lively city.
A lovely lively city.
Loved the riverside quay with its many eateries ; the walk on the bridge at both levels ; the San Bento railway station, the ornate bookshop (Livraria Lello); river cruise (take one where they share the history), some lovely churches , wine tours are a must ...walk around the city... Ubers are relatively low cost so you can hop in and out easily if you don't want to walk.

Porto is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen but I love historical cities. It also has a river and ocean beaches. It is completely walkable if you stay in the center but it also has a metro that is easy to access.

An amazing and massive beautiful city, endless streets of shops and culture. The Port area is fabulous and a boat trip along the River Douro is a must. Just watch your belongings, I had my phone stolen from my bag!!
The port area is expensive but up along the streets prices are very cheap to eat and drink. The indoor market near Santa Caterina street is a must, this is the main shopping area.

A truly beautiful and colorful city with so much to see and do!
A vast array of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes.
We walked over 28 miles in four days so make sure you wear comfy trainers/shoes!
It was my favourite Stay on our trip through Portugal! It felt like an Oasis in the middle of the city, and when you're at the Hotel you can't really believe how close you actually are to the city centre. The garden and the pool really gave it a very special and calm vibe. The staff was also very nice and super helpful and made us feel very welcome.
There's a wine bar right outside the venue with excellent wines and a cool atmosphere.
I would definitely return and recommend this place 100%.
The situation was a little bit unusual because I rent the room just per one night to a old guy I don't knew... Hey just needed somewhere to stay till his medical appointments in the other day (Mr. Luis is from Bragança, a far away village from Portugal). It was Sunday, everywhere we tried was already full then I booked this room.
The staff is very nice and don't discriminated the old guy (what I was afraid about). Nice room, very clean and very well lighted!
I truly recommend! :)
Check in was excellent. Luis Ferraz was especially helpful, taking time to show us on the map how to get to interesting and less known tourist attractions in the local area. Location was good - not far from the historic centre- we walked there via the cathedral and it was easy to get to from main oriente train station. Nice to have trees and open space in the square just outside the hotel.
The bed was the most comfortable of all we experienced on our stay in Portugal.
I stayed here for 4 days at the start of my Portugal trip and loved it so much that I changed my bookings to stay here again when I came back to Porto at the end of my trip. The staff were all great people and organized several fun activities every day (sunset excursions, beach trips, beer gatdens, etc., and of course the nightly free dinners, drinking games, and bar crawl). Great atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and top-tier vibes. The best hostel experience I've had.
Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, great and nice people. You can leave your baggage after check-out.
Location is also great, in walking distance to all touristic locations, surrounded by a tons of cafes and restaurants.
Really good price for this location.
We were in January, and even with heater it was a little bit cold in the room, but it is more about overall Portugal problem, we met this problem in every hotel that we have stayed in this trip.
Everything about this hostel is amazing! The price is extremely reasonable and you even get breakfast included! - the best hostel I have ever stayed in.. it feels more like a hotel than a hostel.
The hostel staff are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming.
I would 10000% recommended this hostel to anyone that’s thinking of visiting Porto, Portugal. It’s located in the middle of the centre near train station, shops, restaurants and the river front!
The concept is unique for me as it was my first time
in such hotel. Loved the design and how it looks overall. Not far from center. You can easily walk there or use a taxi (it’s pretty cheap in Portugal).
The breakfast is ok. As a person who have something sweet and coffee more than enough.
I needed to find a pharmacy but it was a bank holiday in Portugal the day we checked in. The manager phoned around to find an open pharmacy and then their driver drove me to the pharmacy and waited while I got what I needed. I have never had service like that before!
Super clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful interior design, we had everything we needed also for cooking. It's really central, we walked a lot but the metro and busses are also very convenient.
Thus was by far the best stay we had in our two weeks in Portugal.
FLH is our new favorite hotel chain in Portugal! Each one we've stayed in has been perfectly located, clean, well-appointed, quiet (despite traffic or pedestrians outside) with friendly, knowledgable staff and a delicious full breakfast. We highly recommend it!
Our favorite apartment in Portugal! such a clean, modern facility that is walking distance to all the sights and yet quiet at night. Responsive staff, great amenities including fully equipped kitchen, and most of all, an amazing breakfast basket delivered daily!
Central hôtel, reasonably priced. Full of character and old-school Portugal. Wooden floors, huit chandeliers, tiles, space, comfortable leather armchairs, internal shutters, large bathroom with huge jacuzzi bath…. Breakfast included. polite friendly staff.
Loved everything!!!
The view, the towels & linen, the pillows & the huge bed, the bathroom, the breakfast area and breakfast, and the staff were amazing!!
Best place we have stayed in our 3 weeks throughout Greece, Spain & Portugal.
Everything about the stay was great. The room was very comfortable and the location was perfect. The check-in and check-out process were extremely easy. The bathroom was bigger than what I saw in other hotels around Portugal.
Fantastic, very bright and spacious appartment! The rooms are very large, has everything you need. Bonus: a balcony, laundry facilities and even an elevator (rare in Portugal!) Very friendly host, easy to reach.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in so far in Portugal. Not sure why would anyone give this hotel less than a 10-star rating. If you are a late bird, try out Floresta cafe by Hungry biker for a breakfast.
We stayed in four different hotels during our stay in Portugal. This was by far our favorite.
Modern, spacious and very conveniently located.
The breakfast was amazing
