The staff here are absolutely amazing special shoutout to Wissem, Francisco, Apou, and Alex. They make you feel right at home. The hotel is really clean and well-maintained, just a 10–15 minute walk from the Colosseum, with a bus station nearby as well. A very special thank you to Wissem — he is truly outstanding and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.

The Colosseum

The fights! The glory! This iconic arena specialized in gory ends. Built in the 1st century, it held up to 80,000 spectators who came to witness gladiatorial combat and bloody reenactments of naval battles. When you look up at the stands, it doesn’t take much imagination to hear the deafening roar of the crowds or to picture the fierceness on display.

This was a bit of a disappointment.

This was a bit of a disappointment. We bought a guided tour but it was so crowded that we had to wait in line for a long time before even entering the site. And when we got in, there were so many people it was tough to hear our guide. Still, if we didn't have a guide, I'm sure it would have been much worse.

The Coliseum was fascinating, but when you leave, watch out for pickpockets and thieves. They operate extensively in this area. We saw two couples who were victims of unsuccessful attacks of these persons. There is no policing around this area, which makes you wonder why, as it is well known for its pick pockets and opportunistic theives.

Pre Book, Viator skip the line tours very good. People selling / pretending to give away bracelets, just Ignore / blank them, these people are trying to interact with you, if you engage with them, they have contact and become annoying. For the life of me I cant understand why city officials allow these scamming practiced. Especially the balls under the cups, complete rip off, many times in from of police.

Even on a guided tour, we needed to show passport twice and tickets 3X before entering. Crowds incredibly heavy making moving and viewing difficult. Would opt for a more personal tour before opening or after closing, if available.

I can’t say enough good words for our stay here. It was perfect for my husband, son, and me. We were welcomed in person and introduced to everything in this beautiful apartment. Everything exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean, had air conditioning, and beds are so comfortable. Its location worked perfect for us as it was a short ten minute walk to the Colosseum.

We were a family. Clean and well-equipped apartment, in the center of everything, within walking distance of the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. Public transportation stations are 4 minutes walk away and allow you to reach anywhere in the city quickly. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Loved the location of this hostel as you're a short walk from the colosseum and a lot of different things. I love how they had lots of events going on for people to mingle and get to know each other. The outdoor terrace was awesome and rooftop kitchen and area in general were top notch amenities.

The property was incredibly close to both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, was clean and comfortable, with every need anticipated, and managed by a property manager who was a magnificent ambassador for the city of Rome and the nation of Italy, such that my wife and I made first reports to family and friends included our delight upon meeting such a wonderful person. Grazie mille Massimo!

We had a lovely stay at Residenza Flavia in Rome. When we got to the apartment we were met right away to be handed the keys. The apartment was lovely and cool and extremely clean. It was a very spacious apartment too which was very nice for the 4 of us. It is right beside the Colosseum and on the subway line, so the location is excellent. Despite being right near the Colosseum, the neighbourhood is quiet at night, but walkable distance to busier areas. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone travelling to Rome.

Even though the hotel has a slightly eccentric style, the stay was pleasant, especially thanks to the excellent staff, from the front desk to the restaurant and pizzeria. We went for pizza on two nights, it was delicious, and the waitresses and waiters were very attentive and helpful. The room was okay, clean, and equipped with a TV with Chromecast and AirPlay. The location is perfect just 200 meters from the metro station, 10 minutes to St. Peter’s Basilica, and 20 minutes to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

The staff was amazing! They gave us great advice for food and experiences. They were always ready to answer our questions. The rooms were perfect and they have A/C that works. They are within walking distance to the colosseum AND the best cappuccino and gelato places that we found while touring Rome. I can’t recommend Home and More enough. We traveled Italy, Switzerland and Germany and this place was easily our favorite stay.
