Can't believe this hotel wasn't more money per night, maybe the rooms are smaller than average? Why would you want to do that?
Why would you want to do that? The people are wonderful, the city is compact, dense with wonderful things to do. But if you need breathing room from time to time, visit the Palace of the Legion of Honor, or walk the Embarcadero from the Ferry Building to AT&T Park, or walk on Ocean Beach.
