We loved everything about the hotel, particularly the staff, who couldn't do enough - Hamad was outstanding. We had everything we needed and when we wanted something it was dealt with straight away. It was my daughter's graduation and we were thoroughly spoilt throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and the facilities great - lived the speak easy bar.

My recent visit to London was a great experience.

My recent visit to London was a great experience. I booked an excellent 5-bedroom apartment right opposite Harrods, which was a perfect location and very convenient for getting around. I arrived quite late, so around 1 am I ordered water and a few snacks. Uber delivered everything within minutes, which really helped after a long journey. The area around Knightsbridge Road was lively, with loads of variety when it comes to food options. During the trip, I drove through Central London over to East London for a Pakistani dinner, and it was excellent, full of flavour and well worth the drive. The next day, I enjoyed breakfast at Harrods and later went back for their hi-tea, which was a lovely way to end the visit. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with great food and a classic London feel throughout.

Hounslow is a thriving town very close to Heathrow airport and large businesses. We found the locals to be friendly and there was everything you would need to enhance your stay - pubs, cafés, shops, a large cinema etc. There were lots of families walking their children to school so we assume it's well-equipped from that point of view. It is very easy to navigate Hounslow on foot or by road. We hope to visit again and stay for longer next time

Watford appears to be a deprived multi ethnic town with a poor selection of restaurants and bars. The only positive I can say is that the Watford Junction train station has several trains every hour going to central London.

We had just one night- arrived in the morning (and were allowed to park and leave the car), nice lunch at the hotel and then the train (35 mins) into London for a few hours. The next day, we visited Hampton Court Palace (parked in the HCP car park up the road) and then drove home from there. It was a great way to do it.

Good location, easy to travel to City.

Good location, easy to travel to City. About 3 bus stops away to South Earling stn, Piccadilly line, all the way to various Museums, Buckingham Palace. Just around the corner of the hotel is a local Supermkt for us to pick up bottles of water. South Earling stn is also 6 stns away from Heathrow, which is very convenient to the hotel.

I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House.

I recently stayed at Heatherbank Guest House. The location is relatively convenient for Stansted Airport – about an hour by car transfer – and the staff were friendly enough. As my room did not have a microwave, they kindly allowed me to use the kitchen one. The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels provided daily, which I appreciated. However, one major issue left me quite frustrated. On the morning of my departure, I had an early flight at 7 am and needed to wake up at 3 am. To my surprise, the electricity (or main lighting) in my room and bathroom was completely off. I had to shower using my phone’s flashlight. Thankfully, I had finished packing the night before, as doing so in pitch darkness would have been impossible. I checked, and it wasn’t just my room – the small room between my entrance and the main hallway also had no power. Only the main hallway lights were on, which was a relief, as otherwise carrying two heavy suitcases downstairs would have been extremely unsafe. This situation made me think: what if a guest were ill and needed the bathroom at night, a breastfeeding mother needing light, or someone returning late in the evening? I had noticed the generator (or main power) going on and off during the two previous nights as well, with a short power surge to the mini fridge, which was quite noisy. This is an important matter that should be communicated to guests and fixed promptly. While the cleanliness and some of the staff’s helpfulness were positives, this power outage experience left me feeling stressed and disappointed.

The staff vary considerably - some are friendly and really helpful whereas others are 'just doing the bare minimum'. There were some great eateries around the area and plenty of shops, bank and coffee houses. Great location with easy access to the station and the town.
