It was an oasis. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a little out of the more populated area so quiet. The bed was comfortable and the rooms beautiful. The breakfast was made to order.

I loved the fact that is right in front of the lagoon! Our room was a bit small, but super clean and comfortable. They have a deck for you to sit and enjoy the amazing view of the lagoon and you can also do some activities like kayaking and swimming without having to go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly and they’re very helpful with local recommendations and tour bookings.

The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. There was a shared kitchen area, which was very nice, with a water cooler for everyone. The property is right by the beach so it is just a very quick walk to get there. You cannot ask for more kind and attentive staff. They are always there to help.

The location was superb - the lagoon was breath-taking in color and in clarity, and the private dock was well-designed and provided shade at all times. The architecture and overall design of the hotel was also superb - like a brutalist temple in the jungle. The pool, though mostly unusable during the day because of the heat of the sun and no shade, was gorgeous as was the boardwalk through the jungle canopy to the lagoon. We stayed in the 1 bedroom treehouse with the private pool and it was a beautifully designed well-appointed and super comfortable room that we loved hanging out in. (Also had a private massage in the [covered] living area and it was the perfect setting).

The location is true bliss, the pier with sun beds and access to the lagoon is incredible. Would say this is one of the nicest spots on the lagoon. They offer free canoes for exploring and the staff are incredible. Three of us stayed in a hut with 2 double beds and plenty of space.

One of the most amazing vacations we have had in a while! The staff, the rooms, the ambiance, clean beaches, conveniently located, everything was amazing! We spent 5 days here and honestly was so relaxing. Wifi was great, air conditioning, room amenities, all fantastic. I will say the private pool was cozy, although the water was not temperature controlled. The staff is wonderful at assisting with setting up dinner reservations, Cenote tours, towels for the beach, etc. We came in October when the season is slower and with lower occupancy was really nice. Saturday night is their beach club party and well worth it. Pro tip, buy water and alcohol from local convenient store and keep in your room. Water is $6 per bottle everywhere and that adds up just as fast as alcohol. During the party, you can go back to your room and have a few before returning for the party. :) Highly recommend asking the staff for bicycle rentals and using them to get to places during the day! At night however, be mindful and get a taxi for your safety. When we go back to Tulum, high chance we will come stay at PPP again!

Perfect service; the staff is amazing. The food is very good, delicious, and offers a huge assortment. I believe you won't get bored with the choices for about 2 weeks. I hope that next year they will finish the construction works, and the spa will be operational. If you're a man, make sure to bring closed-toe shoes to visit the Chianti and Unami restaurants; they have strict dress code rules. We upgraded our suite to one with an ocean view, as I found the one overlooking the lagoon not as quiet and fascinating. Take all inclusive or the food with be a fortunate for you. They even let us to use our all inclusive package after the check out till 17 pm, that was an incredible gesture as we had a late flight. Another tip: they provide a voucher for 2 free photos with a hotel photographer. We did a photoshoot and couldn't resist buying more photos, which can be expensive. You pay around 170 USD for 13 photos. You can find a photographer on Instagram who offers 30 photos for 80 USD.

I stayed one night at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and it was so much fun!! Our room had this amazing ocean view. The music around the hotel was nonstop and gave the whole place such a fun, energetic vibe. The staff were super nice, and there was always something going on, from cool drinks to fun by the pool. Even though it was just one night, it felt like a mini vacation packed with good vibes and pretty views. Totally recommend if you wanna have a good time and feel like a rockstar.

The staff is exceptional! Truly elevated our entire stay. Beautiful views from the hotel's restaurant. Great access to the beach. Easy to get around with the bus stop located just outside of the hotel. But really, what sets apart Emporio is the people - always the kindest, most prompt service. Highly recommend for your next stay in the area.

Hotels and restaurants are nice, people are friendly and attentive. We felt safe all the time (with the exception of crossing the streets, due to speed and disregard of pedestrian crossings). The area is very wide, so try to pick your hotel based on your planned activities. We made four day trips and everything was great, on time pick ups, great content, but most of our stuff was further south so we had 1-3 hour bus rides to get to some of the spots. The crystalline water pics in the review are from our trip to Cozumel. Sunscreen is banned for many activities, so plan accordingly. Bring mosquito repellent, they’re everywhere and bite like crazy

Checked out early as couldn’t stay here any longer. Tried to raise a complaint with the duty manager and was treated worse after doing so. Food is bad and you have to Que to get into the buffet restaurant because they claim they are not busy due to low season so not opening up all of the restaurant. Oh and you get charge £150 if you loose your room key.

Tulum is the jungle so go prepared. Repellent and sunscreen. Avoid taxi cabs it’s way too expensive. Opt to rent a car you will see way more of Tulum that way. Make sure to spend time at the cenotes. Avoid August because the seaweed makes the ocean unbearable.

    Holbox Island was great.

Holbox Island was great. The center has an easy/casual vibe but lively and has good restaurant and store options. They had some great trendy cafes, also the streets are sand and can get flooded so don't plan on dressing up. We took the ferry there and a private boat back. I like the private boat option better. It was just as quick and a little cheaper and we had a really early flight so the ferry's werent working. If you have an early flight from Cancun, do not stay the night before on Holbox Island. It will require some extra planning if you do. The sandbar is beautiful. We went to coco beach to see the Bioluminescence by ourselves and it saved us lots of money because we were a big group. The taxi drivers are not very friendly but they typically follow the prices that they post but you will get the sly one sometimes. overall, I would reccomend Holbox and the Island life.

I enjoyed the natural beauty of the areas outside the touristy downtown area. I rented a scooter and drove the entire perimeter of the island (about 2 hours around without stops), but there are a few sightseeing locations, so plan a bit more time. I was there to go scuba diving and it did not disappoint. Once you get out of the touristy areas Cozumel is basically a rundown Caribbean island with not much to offer.

Mahahual was rundown and uncared for.

Mahahual was rundown and uncared for. For a tourist destination we noticed a lot of uncollected rubbish on the beaches and the tourist spots needed a refresh. It is highly recommended for diving as they have a reef but again the seaweed is a major problem and has not been tackled by the local authorities bearing in mind that swimming is the main activity there.
