- From $1,782.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 53 reviewswe had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodationsGuest review byJohnUnited States
- From $280.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,225 reviewsThe hotel views were exceptional. The reservation included breakfast each morning in their dining room which was super convenient and very tasty. The soak experience was great with gorgeous views overlooking Queenstown. Staff is super friendly and helpful. When I tried to book a dinner reservation on site myself, I wasn't able to find any available openings. But the hotel staff reached out and helped me make one because they prioritize guests who stay there. Overall, a wonderful experience and would definitely stay there again.Guest review byCindyCanada
- From $138.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,405 reviewsIt was a welcome rest as we arrived by bike. The front entrance is vintage and unassuming…but behind the long hedge is a huge beer garden which serves very tasty and reasonably priced food. We didn’t go in to the restaurant as the beer and garden food sufficed. The room was comfortable and looked in to the courtyard. The staff were all very friendly and were able to accommodate our bicycles. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend people go in the front door and check it out.Guest review byAnthonyCanada
- From $181.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,626 reviewsVery surprising l, community oriented feel with great service and beautiful aesthetics! We booked this property kind of fast for a quick one night stay in Queenstown but ended up loving it! Loved particularly the common spaces with the wood burning fireplace, working areas and so on. The location is also very convenient and the staff super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely visit again on our next stop in gorgeous Queenstown.Guest review byFulvioUnited States

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, including letting me use phones to make bookings as I still didn't have a Sim card sorted. Well placed close to town with a short walk up the hill - perfect compromise of good view and close proximity . I'll be recommending this place to everyone I know who visits QueenstownGuest review byKirstyAustralia

The scenery was spectacular.
The scenery was spectacular. Amisfield winery and restaurant (5 star plus) was the trip highlight - it's 20 mins outside town - take an Uber so you can enjoy the wine(s). Queenstown itself is very small and walkable and has some nice eateries: the Patagonia icecream parlour on lake front was a treat (eat upstairs for the lake view). Best to book eateries in advance and excursions (though we we subject to "sorry overbooked" after a tour paid for!)Guest review byANTONYAustralia - 10.0

A city with scenic landscapes and harbour views seen from everywhere. Charming villas hug hillside suburbs with many quaint communities to discover. Easy walking around the city centre or alternatively drive around the coastal roads and suburbs to visit surf beaches pounding one side of the peninsula in contrast to the calm blue of the Otago harbour. Lots to see for bird & wildlife enthusiasts, eclectic shopping and architectural delights including Larnach castle’s interesting historical story.Guest review byGwenAustralia - 10.0
Wanaka is a great little town.
Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well. We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.Guest review byStevoAustralia - 8.0

Not much to do in Oamaru, will recommend visiting the quaint museums, Oamaru heritage museum (pay/donate as you wish) and steampunk museum (NZD$15/pax). both were interactive and we enjoyed it with the helpful stuff. the day was a cloudy and rainy so we opted out of visiting the penguins - they have a live youtube stream of the penguins coming home which we watch. We did visit the penguins tour during the day, which was open to public and saw some fur seals relaxing. To watch the penguins coming home, it's NZD$45 per pax, which we thought was a little expensive. + the weather being bad, we decided to watch them online instead.Guest review byVerenaSingapore - 10.0

Cromwell is a great place to base yourself, perfectly positioned in the heart of Central Otago between iconic hotspots like Queenstown and Wanaka. Just a short 45-minute drive from both, it's incredibly accessible, yet offers enough charm and character to stand proudly as a destination in its own right. Whether you're chasing adrenaline, exploring vineyards, or simply unwinding by Lake Dunstan, Cromwell caters to every pace. The town blends scenic beauty with a welcoming, laid-back vibe that makes visitors feel instantly at home. From world-class wineries to heritage precincts and local markets, it rewards those who linger with rich and memorable experiences. Don’t just pass through, spend time here. You’ll discover why many wish they'd stayed longer.Guest review byNeilNew Zealand - 10.0

There is a big clock on the hilltop.
There is a big clock on the hilltop. A big playground in the city centre. An information centre with a museum and a small gallery in the same building. We could walk along the river in the bush. Grocery shopping was easy as there are two major supermarkets, New World and Woolworths. Fast food was easy to find. Cafes offer good-tasting coffee. There is plenty of free parking in the town centre, from where we could walk almost anywhere around the town. Alexandra is a small town for a visit, where you want to unwind in a laid-back setting. It is also close to Cromwell and Roxburgh, where you can go for cherry picking in the summer.Guest review byZeyingNew Zealand - 8.0

Traveled south to support our basketball tem who played in Dunedin. Mosgiel was close enough for a short trip into town, yet far enough out to avoid any hussel & bussel of city life. Close to the airport for our departure. Lovely little town with all the services you could need. I'll be back to stay again.Guest review byPaulNew Zealand - 8.0
