My friend and I really enjoyed our time in Shropshire, but particularly at the hotel where the service was excellent! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely evening meal and the breakfast was very good too (I was provided with a very nice vegan breakfast). The location was good and the village was very pretty too. I slept like a log and would definitely stay at the Lion hotel again when wanting to visit the area.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The sleeping pod is private and clean, and lockers are available to keep valuables safe. Location of the hostel is perfect and in amongst it all. The whisky and gin tasting downstairs was great! This is my second time staying here and I would recommend it to anyone as its very good value for money and not like any other hostel.

The cleanliness of other people in the shared room, there were no available power points as people were using them, but they were not in the room. Bench space was taken up by empty bottles and other items belonging to people in the shared room.

The view. Kris was so kind and helpful. Fabulous apartment. We could have stayed for a week or more. Great parking. Nice pub along is the road. Most comfortable bed and large towels.

The actual shower was fine. It was near a bus stop.

There was mold in the bathroom along the ceiling. Two doors were not completely painted, the edges along the hinges were unpainted. There were no oven mitts so we had to use a bath towel. John said he would send a pair the next day but they never arrived. The hot water in the kitchen and bathroom was scalding. The floors were not clean. The bathroom had no towel bars or hooks to hang towels on. The box of laundry detergent was empty and John suggested we go buy some and be reimbursed (on my holiday I don’t plan to do the owner’s shopping!) The outside garden area was weed ridden and the furniture was filthy with a full ashtray. The beds were very uncomfortable.

Price is to high for what you receive. My card and the card of another group lost its contact to open the door and there was no one in reception. I was almost crying of nervous thinking that I would sleep in the sofa of reception when another group arrive and they had the same problem… if you don’t have the physical keys to share please monitore the cameras to avoid it… the room was okey but not so clean as well but the worst part was the toilet… so much worst than a public station!!! When we arrived I saw body hair in the toilet… the worst experience ever!!!! Booking also doesn’t helped!!! Lucky of me that another group arrived and found the WhatsApp number to call help… because my phone was discharged to call for help… before all of this I also received a message saying about my late check out but I was there already… I also got concerned about they give my room keys to other people… worst ever
