Great location in town centre, a few minutes walk from Princes Road Car Park. Lots of eateries nearby so lack of bfast is not a problem. Lovely old pub, popular with locals and visitors. Rooms are up an outside spiral staircase, with a very pretty shared terrace overlooking pub courtyard. Generous sized room, comfy bed, nice walk in shower. All very smart and well maintained. Tea making facilities and toiletries. Have stayed many times and always had a lovely stay, our favourite pub and stay in Wells.

Great location and everything you may need is within 10mins on foot - restaurants, stores, train and bus stops. Despite there were a lot of people for check-in, it was very fast and efficient. At the reception you can get all the information you might need, they would suggest and recommend places you're looking for. Very comfortable and clean rooms, even those overlooking the boulevard were well insulated and not noisy.

I can't think about such thing

The actual flat was very big, tidy and clean. There are I believe a total of 5 rentable rooms, a bathroom and one toilet. It wasn’t in a great location, two minutes away from bus stops and tram stops, and then 13 minutes away from the city centre.

Entering the building put me off a little bit. The building has other flats and tenants so I understand the reasons why the host might not have much power over this, but when I stepped into the building I literally thought “well, this is how I die lol”. Aside for that, what I didn’t like in the flat itself where you will stay, was the towels. I wouldn’t complain too much if the bathroom was private, but considering that you have to shower in a shared bathroom and then walk back to your room, it’s less than ideal to have a small towel that barely covers you. Take into account also that, since it’s shared, you want to spend the least amount of time in the bathroom so you don’t hold it from the others. So, silly complaint as it might be, I’d like to suggest the host to buy some of the IKEA extra large bath towels 😁

We arrived to a very friendly and helpful staff member. Gave us guidance around the city of York. Room was beautiful. Clean bathroom and toilet. Lovely clean sheets on a large comfortable bed. Well worth staying here.

The host was amazing. Friendly, efficient, easily contactable. The house is stunning and our room was great. It's so relaxed but everything you need is there.

The location is very central. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, there was a sofa in the room. Ultimately you get what you pay for. Easy self check-in.

Old Victorian windows meant there was zero noise reduction from the road. The shared bathroom facilities weren't very clean and were two floors (four flights of stairs and two fire doors) away from our room. There were no communal spaces for a hostel, so no chance to mingle with other guests. There were no staff present and the telephone number is an answer phone. An additional £50 deposit had to be paid - which equates to an additional 33% of the cost.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast could have been better - no eggs.

Absolutely nothing, it was a relief to leave it.

This is a basement flat. As you go downstairs to the property the walls are black with dirt and mould; the flat has been poorly maintained inside and out, there was insufficient toilet hygiene, the kitchen is not well equipped considering this is a self catering holiday let, the coffee machine did not materialise as promised in the photographs, there was no hair dryer, the rugs were so dirty we didn’t dare touch them; the photos advertising this flat give a false impression and are downright misleading.
