The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Location is idyllic, quiet, and very close to Bamburgh. Less than 5-minute drive to the castle. Easy parking, excellent facilities, and well furnished space. Was very pleased with what we received for our stay.

There is a required damage deposit scheme, and there's no option where you get 100% of your money back. This is contrary to the policy outlined on booking dot com, and it resulted in a stressful exchange where I was unwilling to pay extra to gain access to the property over and above the fees I paid on booking dot com.

Location is good if you know the area, property was very clean internally, and the price is good value if a group of 4 or 5 people just want somewhere to crash and aren't expecting much more.

The title is "Immaculate house in Doncaster" doesn't really reflect the somewhat minimalist / bleak / lacking in comfort tone to the property, such as the radiator that was falling off the wall, the overgrown back lawn that needed cutting, the poor quality mattresses / pillows or the general decor / furnishings - that said, given that the property is in 'Branton', which definitively isn't in Doncaster (as the listing title states), I suspect there is some artistic license being taken with the descriptions ('Wikipedia' and 'Welcome to Yorkshire' websites are pretty clear on where Branton is / isn't) - we figured out why the property was in this state when we saw the 'For Sale' sign laid on the grass in the back garden (it's up for sale online and is obviously being rented out until sold) - I can't blame the owner, but all the furnishings are very cheap, you can feel the bed supports / batons through the mattresses they are so cheap and the pillows are the thinnest I've ever encountered (another reviewer even mentioned that people should bring their own pillow, and I agree) - but this means that the most important part of any stay, i.e. the sleep, wasn't great - in general the furnishings don't match / they look like they were bought from a second hand store / charity shop, which makes sense as the sales listings online shows the property unfurnished, so they've obviously bought the cheapest possible furniture etc. to tide the property over as a rental until it is sold. In the end the property is ok if your expectations are set at the right level in advance. It was a hard one to rate, and it's definitely not a 9 or 10 out of 10, but equally Booking.

No wifi connectivity from the Caravan park (Owner already mentioned he wasn't providing wifi and use the common wifi. But there was no range to the common wifi in the caravan. You need to be near the SHOP to access common wifi) Maps coordinate in the booking.com site doesn't match the actual site. Had to trouble owner for directions. Couldn't ON the heater in Living area ( not used to gas heater so it was confusing for me. Also could not find lighter to lit it manually) No shower gel/ hand wash in bathroom. No sponge to clean utensils. Had to buy those.

One staff member seemed not very helpful. Breakfast isn’t worth the money. £8.50 per person for a piece of toast

It’s a nice old building with beams, a bar, and parking on site.

We arrived 15 minutes before 3pm and couldn’t check in, because it wasn’t 3 pm yet. That’s quite rigid. Other hotels check you in even if the room isn’t ready yet. By the time the whole check in process was finished, it probably would have been 3 pm anyway. The booking said that the room was downstairs on ground level which it wasn’t. There was also a train line outside, with trains passing by even during the night. The net curtain hanging in front of the window stopped about 10cm short, which was strange. The cups in the room were too large for the coffee machine, so we couldn’t use it. There were no cups in the bathroom for brushing teeth, or taking medication. The receptionist said that she thought that they had stopped putting cups in the bathroom because of Covid. Which is strange because they still put coffee cups in the room.

Great location, good public spaces, and an excellent breakfast.

Room 201 could really do with a deep clean, as the shower was in a terrible state under grouted as well as over grouted, mouldy dirty drain and tiles, and no where to put shower gel etc, the light in the mirror over the sink did not work, the bed duvet cover was torn and also there was double mattress on a king size bed frame! The curtains and portable fan were thick with dust, two of the socket ie the tv and kettle were run off extension leads, this room really needs to be closed and all the above sorted.
