Welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. The member of staff who greeted us showed us directly to the room which was a nice touch. Lovely furnishings with a huge and superbly comfortable bed. Shower was amazing with great water pressure. Nice breakfast with good options and an attentive but still relaxed host. Bonus that there is a separate door to come and go from. Next time we will go down to the bar and try the pizza. On street parking but we found a space. There is a wee shop and chemist nearby. Easy travelling distance to Hexham and to Hadrian’s Wall.

Compared to other places we’ve stayed, this was perfect for few reasons: nice and clean, spacious, quiet, bright and warm, towels provided, handwash and items like salt and pepper, bed very comfortable, 2 toilets/bath, very close to Ilfracombe, games like cards and other types provided, space outside for kids to play with bubbles, outside table and b&q table, etc etc

Very pretty, the master bedroom was beautiful and spacious. The location wasn’t far from the mini shopping centre and wasn’t far from the clubs when we went on the night out. Just a very nice, comfortable space

No issues.

I liked the location of the hotel. It was on the beach front and was short walking distance to the shops, pier, etc. Staff were very nice. The beds were comfortable enough. Ideal for a night or two.

I'd like to give an honest review. We had booked a sea view room and were greeted with a room that had a window in which you couldn't see out of due to it being covered in streaks. I went down to reception to rectify this and was offered vouchers to compensate as they were fully booked. However, wasn't happy with this. We were then shown a room with a side sea view, which wasn't the sea view we had hoped for but better than the room we had initially been given. We were provided with one pillow each, which was very flat, so had to ask reception for more. At breakfast, if you wanted tea/coffee, it was made by the hotel staff. If you wanted toast, this had to be made for you again by the hotel staff, which seemed a bit of a faff. The room decor was nice. However, lamps were rusted, the bath panel was cracked, the rail to hold on to the bath was coming away from the wall, so it wasn't safe to hold onto. The hotel could do with a bit of a revamp.

Lovely location, with view of some sheep. Very clean. Was bigger than I thought it would be, great for up to 6 people. Sophia was very helpful as well.

Room (Yew) just a tad dark and creaky floor boards in that section.
