Positive section of review
Fabulous character room in a lovely traditional pub. Large bed, bathroom & shower. Excellent coffee maker in room. We had dinner which was lovely, great selection of ales and nice atmosphere as busy with locals, always a good sign! Breakfast was equally good with a wide choice from full English to Eggs Benedict. Staff couldn’t be more helpful whether front of house or waiting/bar staff, all really pleasant.

This is a room in a house - no staff on hand. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable if a little small. The owner had left cold breakfast options in the fridge (Yogurt, Cerials, Muffins, Fruit etc) which was a nice touch.

As the bed was next to a window we could have done with thicker curtains to block the light and the sound from the traffic outside.

Lovely well appointed property, had everything we needed and more, very comfortable bed, immaculate bed linen, easy parking nearby, relatively quiet area, right on the edge of the shopping area, easy walk down to the sea.

Bathroom sink didn't drain well, bathroom edges and corners needed a good clean as quite dirty, edging round carpets also needed a good clean as they were thick with dust, worktop wasn't clean and hob splashback was smeared from wiping, positioning of TV needs rethinking - suggest swapping for mirror over radiator as it was very uncomfortable to have to twist to watch TV. Just needed a little more attention and detail to cleaning, otherwise, would have scored a 10/10 from us.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Room was small but adequate for 2 adults. Lovely shower and super king-size bed. We enjoyed walking along the harbour after a delicious meal.
