The 260 year old 4 story home has been lovingly restored to a very high standard. It is across the road from Portsmouth Cathedral and we parked right outside. The location was perfect to explore Old Town Portsmouth. There is a great pub across from the cathedral called The Dolphin which has great food and a very talented barman. The walled garden out the back is lovely.

The stairs are quite narrow so we left our luggage downstairs and only took out what we needed for our stay. The top loft level ceiling is too low for practical use as a TV room. Tall people need to be aware that some of the light fittings are low.

Very quiet, excellent breakfast with fabulous staff. A very comfortable bed and excellent room. Great pool and very pleasant room and stay. Particularly excellent member of staff who served breakfast who was so friendly and helpful.

Very good location, liked the fact that we were close to the Promenade but without all the noise. Very easy to visit other locations from the centre of Blackpool.

Using the sauna and steam room is £15 per person and need to book. The room itself was clean but we noticed the restaurant menu soiled with chocolate fingerprints. I didn't realise the car park is charged £12 until I received an email from the hotel.
