Within 10 minute walking distance of Harrogate centre. Cosy open plan lounge with log burner - you have to bring your own logs, luckily we have a log burner at home. Hardware stores in Harrogate with logs. Well equipped kitchen, with cooker/microwave, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The bath is small (not full size). I did not find this a problem, although a larger/not as able person would find it a problem. Found the property ok from the instructions. Parking on the road, the property is located down the side road. This property could be a real gem if made into a one bedroomed holiday let.

The bedrooms are really small, cannot walk around the beds. Cannot get in and out of the beds without climbing over the middle of the bed. Elderly would not be able to manage. Its a shame, because if the property had been renovated as open plan upstairs, this would have made a good sized comfortable double bedroom. No basic provisions - would have been nice to have milk for tea/coffee that was provided and real olive oil for cooking. We feel it would be a proper squeeze for four people.

This little cottage is perfect, we really enjoyed our stay, although cut short due to my job. Its in a great location in the middle of Pateley Bridge, handy for all local amenities, parking around Pateley bridge is no problem, just a short stroll away. We both really enjoyed our stay at No.5 the Stables and if around the area again we would definitely look up this cottage, it really is a great place to stay, Nigel

Lovely accommodation and the couple that run it are so nice. Good breakfast provided. The Stables are very warm. Lovely full size toiletries and a very comfy bed. We had a problem in the bathroom which was sorted straight away.

Hotel was lovely and clean and staff were very friendly and polite

Duvets a little thin and pillows very hard but that is just personal choice

Rooms were separate from the restaurant/ bar. Cleanliness.
Negative section of review
Lack of spare or different pillows. I needed a wider choice. Convection heater in room was incapable of making the room warmer even when putting the radiator on manual. Leaving only 2 tea bags per day did not provide for 2 tea drinkers arrival and morning coppers. Same for coffee drinking couples. The room could do with a chair or 2 for sitting at the long bench or just sitting. (The seatee is too low for me to use.)

Location to centre was good

Booking in was too complicated, need to submit personal information was not good. Waiting arround to get location and access details by email when stood out in the rain was not good. Located opposite a police station with sirens going off all hours. Bed far to small
