This lodge was very well located for my purposes being close to Haddington. It was easy to find and the information provided by the openers was very accurate. The room itself was well-appointed and had nice little touches with biscuits, soft drinks, coffee and tea all being provided. The kitchenette was small but had all the key items, grill, oven, microwave. The view of the highland cattle outside wandering around was so peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

The room was quite large and modern decoration and facilities. Continental breakfast was good - would have liked coffee/ tea facilities in my room as I had to get fully dressed to go into the corridor to get a drink. Restaurant food looked lovely and bar was very pleasant. Friendly, helpful staff.

Breakfast in a charming room, presented with my vegan options. Oat milk was left for me anytime I needed. The bed was incredibly comfy. Bathroom modern. Location by the parsonage was amazing. Brendan was so friendly and helpful.

The property was very old with loads of character. It is situated yards from the sea with many rooms having sea views. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast good and the rooms more than adequate.

We visited the property during winter months so parking wasn’t an issue, but I think it would be more difficult during summer months. Quite a long distance from car to the bedroom - through 2 sets of doors, up stairs and down a very long corridor. However, once there, everything okay.

Cashless huge no no for me I found out after I had booked other wise I would of cancelled. Not ideal if are there for work as it’s more of a drop your bags off, head out to the pubs/clubs and some where to sleep. The noise was really loud from others which Is to be expected (good for them having a great time) but if it’s business or work related then it’s a no definitely not the place unless you want a 2-3-4am start.
