The location was perfect for visiting family. Externally the approach to the Mansion, the grounds and the car park were well kept and tidy. The building itself was impressive externally however this didn’t continue inside to our studio apartment. The staff were friendly and professional and addressed a couple of issues promptly. We didn’t try the restaurants.

The studio (room 102) looked good on first glance however on closer inspection it was shabby in places. The bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied from the previous occupants and the shower rail and shower curtain fell down two days running, the second time on myself - a tension style rail is hardly going to function as well as a one which is securely fixed to the wall. The laminate flooring was lifted in places and woodwork was chipped and shabby. Be aware in this particular studio we were woken by a delivery beneath our window at 2am.

Breakfast wasn’t available. Room was dirty ( used dental floss on window sill. Shower floor moved when you stood on it. No bath. Absolutely tiny tv Extremely disappointing !!!

Location great for getting to airport next day although off beaten track. Great view to wake up to in the morning. Peaceful apart from below. Comfortable high quality room.

The blinds let I light early morning could do with some sort of black out. Ppl leaving around 5.15am awoke us as noisy shoes on floor & banging back & forth. Breakfast was nice but most of it one of us couldn't eat

Self contained unit with many facilities, comfortable bed and full kitchen. Spacious. Short drive to Boscastle and the coast for lovely scenic views and cafe meals.

A bit remote, trouble with the washing machine/dryer. Little contact with the host. Strangely the TV in the bedroom kept turning on overnight - possibly due to the guests in the upstairs unit?

The decor was nice (it did feel abit random and didn't flow very well though), and location/views were lovely.

The picture of the staircase going up to the property listed on the booking is false advertising, as the lodge is on a shared courtyard & terraced so isn't private. There was also no privacy at the back at the hot tub. Only a tiny fence separating each lodge (noise travels!!) & staff came onto property around 10.30am to check hot tub. Also the walls were extremely thin. No ventilation apart from the patio doors as bathroom windows were onto the shared courtyard so wasn't able to open them for privacy reasons and also the toilet room window couldn't open due to this looking onto the neighbouring lodge. The cleanliness was really bad too. Hairs in the bathroom, dust across all the wooden chalet features and lots of webs/spiders in the toilet room. Damp smell in bathroom also. Very disappointed in our stay as the private, individual lodges at the beginning of the property are the same price to what I paid!! And I thought this was what we would get due to the picture on the booking. Wouldn't return again.

The facility did not have any do not disturb signs so that housekeeping does not walk in to your room whenever they want to! I wish the pool and sauna had been open!
