The property is well located in Aldeburgh on the Main Street with plenty of facilities within walking distance. It is well appointed with everything you might need for a relaxing holiday, whether you self cater or eat out.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and never had a problem. This current stay came with plenty. After having been closed for 4 years, the hotel has only been open a week since and it was plain it has reopened too early! The first room we checked into had no running cold water. The second had only an inconsist flow of hot water and required the intervention of a maintenance engineer. Most annoying, though, was the absence of the cooked breakfast we booked for. The continental, the only option available, offered the bare minimum. By the way, there was no bar, and the restaurant was closed. In view of all these issues, it would have been nice to receive some kind of discount, but none offered. It is to be hoped that this establishment will, at some point in the future, be able to attain its former standards.

I had used this hotel before it closed a few years ago and was ok. This time I had probably the worse sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. The bed was so uncomfortable and I woke up constantly through the night with pins and needles from the hard bed springs digging into my body. Dreadful bed. The room was so warm and the aircon panel kept showing a fault and reset required which did nothing. Went to checkout at 0805 but every room including reception locked up with no staff available. No drop box for the key so had to go back to the room to leave the key there. Hopefully given time they’ll get their act together and make it worth the money.
