  The perfect place to stay! We were warmly welcomed as soon as we rang the bell, by both Liz and Douglas. We arrived to find a gift from a previous guest left on the doorstep, which I took as a very good sign! The house is immaculate, it’s cosy and quiet, it even smells wonderful. We were given an option of 2 rooms and Douglas got us set up in the one we picked, even bringing our luggage up. The rooms are well set up with lovely beds, good internet, a nice tv and a great shower. And all the pillows you could ever need. Breakfast was excellent, and there was a pretty wide selection of choices. The house is right next door to a fab restaurant, and it’s not a far walk to other good food options and the rest of town. A ten minute walk finds you at the beach.

  The location is excellent - close to Dundee but easy to access from the highway. Free convenient parking. The property is well-maintained and clean, and the rooms are comfortable and well-furnished. Housekeeping staff very adaptable around some of our late morning starts. There was a comfy lounge where we could just sit and relax with a book and a beer. The restaurant food was good.

  A very few minor quibbles. There was an ATM but it was out of service the entire time (maybe no one uses cash any more?). There were not enough staff in the restaurant so service was very slow. (Not the fault of the staff - they were working hard!). In one case we gave up on dessert and coffee because we had been waiting so long. The laundry service was also very irregular - it's outsourced and takes a day or two to come back, with no service on the weekends, so if you wanted clean clothes for Monday you had to turn them in the Wednesday before.

  The room is comfortable but basic, great for short stays. The breakfast which was free for me was great the first morning (Saturday) but Sunday was not so good where everything was over cooked. Not helped by being very busy with children being allowed to run around causing chaos and a flood of boiling water in the drinks area! All down to inattentive and apparently hungover parents (they openly said so ?!) who let the situation get out of hand and miserable for everyone else who was trying to get breakfast and drinks.

  The place was dirty ,there where dirty sheets and towels wrapped in a bag under the bed There were bugs ,spider and dust everywhere The neighbourhood was scary and the stairs to go up into the apartment are horrible The floor was broken covered with a carpet if you move it a little ,you could hurt yourself
