The location is in the High St and just a few minutes away from the river, church and other High St shops/pubs/restaurants. It looks very ‘oldy worldy’ from the outside and the same inside. Like stepping back in time a couple of centuries. The interior decor has been preserved or sympathetically reproduced and the main staircase is original as are the sloping floor in our superior double bedroom on 2nd floor. There was a few creaks from an adjacent room, but only to be expected as such an old hotel. The staff we engaged with were exceptionally friendly and helpful. And we could choose where we wanted to eat our meals (had breakfast and a Sunday roast) The car park spaces are limited due to location of the hotel, but we found a space and left it there for the 3 nights we stayed. There is a pay & display carpark directly behind the hotel where the charges were £6 for 24hrs. I would recommend for a short stay.

Our bathroom had a very small shower which may pose a problem if you are a large size.

Welcoming host. A parking spot available at the back of the property. The property was easily to find. A bus stop right outside provides regular schedules to and from the centre of York, which was convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with plenty of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available, along with bottled water. The body wash and cream provided were lovely, with delightful scents. There's also an informative folder with friendly and useful information about things to do and places to visit in York. The breakfast options were plentiful. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay, highly recommended if you're visiting York or nearby.

Nothing I didn't like during my stay for 2 nights. Thank you so much for your welcoming and make it such a wonderful stay for both of us.

Lovely Apartment, with all the amenities you require. So clean and homely. 10/15 minute walk into town and the sea front. 5 minute walk to the nearest pub. Easy, spacious parking. Highly recommend as somewhere to stay when in Swanage. Excellent communication with owners and easy check in.

Lovely old fashioned pub, with super friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious with bottled water, biscuits and a little fridge. Lovely little private area patio for residents outside, superb views. Breakfast and evening meals were very good as well.

I didn't like when I got back and saw the host was trying to charge me for damage I didn't cause and wasn't even aware of. I use booking.com a lot and have never had a complaint and I am absolutely raging about it. I would have booked the place again and recommended it to other folk but I wouldn't want to be falsely accused of damaging property again and I won't be recommending it.
