The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally polite and very helpful, a real asset to the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was pretty clean. We had a lovely nights rest. The swimming pool and spa facilities were nice.

We had an executive room and I was a bit disappointed to be honest. The shower knob to control the temperature was broken, a screw was missing so it kept falling off and it made it difficult to control the temperature. It was skin scalding hot then freezing cold, took a good while to try and regulate. If you turned it on powerful it flooded the floor. There was some problem with the toilet, it didn't flush properly and kept leaking water onto the floor. We cleaned it up a few times in the night as it is unpleasant to step in a puddle of toilet water in the middle of the night! The icing on the cake was the dodgy iron that RUINED my blouse! The breakfast is not very vegan friendly, I enquired about vegetarian options one young lady told me point blank no. I asked another much gentler lady who immediately said she would check with the chef...turns out they did have vegetarian sausages. They are easily remedied matters but at £111 a night it is a bit of a let down. Hopefully they will get fixed. There was no one at front desk to speak to when we were leaving so didn't get to share this with staff before we left.

Very friendly. Loved the little extra touches in the rooms. The music festival on the night of my stay was an unexpected surprise and very welcome.

Thin walls meant it was noisy and especially being by the road, I could hear the cars on the road whizzing by The mattress was heavily worn in and uneven - dents on either side of the bed, which made it uncomfortable to sleep in The remote was dirty, so I had to use alcohol wipes to clean it before I could use it There was water in my kettle from the previous user Curtain sheers were unclean - had marks Duvet cover had a mark They didn't restock the shower gel until the last day Gave me too many towels, which they could clearly see were unused and piling up - this wasn't ideal as there wasn't much space in the room. I also had to look out for small stain marks on my towel as I found one on day 1. The bed was not made to hotel standards, and the bedding was not refreshed during my week long stay The runner for the curtains was dirty, so I had to wash my hands after opening or closing the curtains The cutlery, as it was exposed, had dust. It didn't seem as if it wash washed before my arrival.

Faulty Flat 404 key box and got downgrade to the one bedroom apartment (Flat 403) nextdoor during check-in. The host avoided picking up calls when we had problem checking in and left us in the dark/cold outside for a long time before reponding our queries slowly through texts. No updates/instructions were given by the host to move us back to the original Flat 404 two bedrooom apartment on the subsequent day. The host refuses to issue a partial refund with the downgrade of our stay and insisted we have stayed in the two bedroom apartment while we have stayed in Flat 403 and not even entered Flat 404 once (We can provide full Whatsapp conversations and pictures we took during check-in/check-out as proofs). Lifts were broken and the corridors/stairs to access the flat were spooky. The shower has not been sealed properly in Flat 403 and water leaked that made the entire WC floor wet after shower. We have been reasonable throughout our stay and the communication with the host, with no expectation to deal with such difficult situations. We had been frustrated and disheartened by the host's dishonest, unprofessional and incompetent services and attitudes. Generally a horrendous and unbelievable experience that ruined our trip :(
