The location was decent - not too long from Heathrow or to get to Central London., Tesco & convenience stores and Westfield mall - all are a short walk. Kitchen was well equipped which really helped! Living room was the best part - cozy & chic. Except for few amenities that we ran short during the stay, everything else was provided.

Main issue was lack of cleanliness at the entrance - seems to be due to the resident staying in the lower floor who shares the entrance where common garbage bins are kept. Could have had more bathroom amenities (shower gel, toilet rolls) since we had 2 teens with us. Would have been great if basic housekeeping service at nominal cost was possible - but probably it's not offered by any other apartment / house stay options in London

The room was ok, I’m was our wedding nite, I was told when arrived that we had been upgraded , very nice I said and thank you , well got there and quite disappointed, as this was no upgrade !!! I saw other rooms the next morning where cleaners were in and doors open, so I looked in and they were all better than ours ! Breakfast was ok

The room was supposed to be upgraded as was our wedding nite, not even a bottle of bubbly to say congratulations !. I asked pacifically that if when cleaned the room. The cleaner would switch on the battery candles I’d displayed around the room, yes receptions said but oh no not even that was done, very disappointing Every time we wanted more coffee as only 2 swatches were put in box , we had to ask and then only 1 per person was left ! We were not asking for the Crown Jewels

Nothing worst hotel room stayed in so far windows misty from coroded seals damp paches on the sealing, Cracked sink with hole in, damaged wall in the bathroom pushed all tiles out by the sink, not enough sockets and heating dident work in the room.

Melrose is a pleasant place to stay. Staff were very friendly. Our room was spacious and comfy. Some of the food we had was very well cooked -light and crisp battered haddock at dinner, poached cod at breakfast.

Service in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss. The shower over the bath was not ideal as the ceiling of the bathroom was quite low.
