How does it work?

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

I had the luck of getting an airside room and could see nighttime operations on the runways. Certainly a place an AVgeek would love. The small touches like postcards in room and great amenities like shaving razor and cream were much appreciated. The "secret" rooftop terrace where you could sit and watch operations at the airport 24/7 was wonderful. Staff were all lovely - one manager was even greeting people outside and leading them in to the lobby.”

Stefan can give you for very cheap price. The old town, the Big Buddha and many beaches you can ride in 20 minutes. I will go back to Stefan for sure. The best is you can see the sea from your bed. The morning is beautiful. The best place for breakfast is only 50 meters from the house. Many good restaurants are 5 minutes by walk.”

Very clean, organised and modern. Look exactly like the photos. Had a cosy and homey feel. Thoughtful amenities provided like cereal, small carton of milk, tea, coffee , sugar and bags next to the toilet. Easy check-in.

They upgraded us but it was to a room on the 2nd floor. There’s no lift and I have lung issues so couldn’t cope with so many stairs. I requested the original room I’d booked, but on the ground or first floor. The girl at reception was very helpful so I’m not complaining about her. However, the room we got was dreadful and not at all like the photos shown on booking.com. There were cheap flimsy white plastic bedside lights. (I’ve never seen such a thing in any hotel I’ve stayed in before!) There was a plastic chair at a plastic desk, The shower base wasn’t fixed in place and kept coming away. The bed was awful. Uncomfortable and there was very little support on the edge. It sank as I got near the edge so I had to be careful I didn’t topple out. Also, the pillows were almost flat! I should also mention that the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything going on outside our room. We stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely, so I was happy to rebook. But it’s definitely gone downhill since then.

Free coffee. Help to carry luggage in the stairs (no elevator)

    • Negative section of review

The staffs hostile attitude, no safety whatsoever, icecold shower, contradictory information depending on which employee you talk to. You have no idea who are staff respectively guests as all slept in the same dorm. The staffs acceptance of drug use in the open 24/7, violence, a worn down, unhygienical house. Bedbugs, mold, bad smell. There are drug addicts staying longterm. As the management depends on those guests the drug use and antisocial behaviour is accepted. The homeless sleep during the day and as a tourist sharing dorm you get hit (!) when you switch on the light or make a normal noise daytime, when you need to charge your devices. The addicts move furniture at night and unplug your devices and throw your phone with force to the floor. A woman in my dorm was violent and hit me - those guests who live there believe they owe the few sockets so everyone else has to adapt to their sleeping routines, plus accept narcotics. The staff refuses to have police involved when violence. They tried to shut me up and even though I had paid accomendation I wasn't able to sleep in my dorm with my luggage. The homeless touched and moved my personal belongings when I was out. After I'd endured for 48 hours I started to cry. Then the staff kicked me out on the street (!) where I was left. "Because you cry, crying is not tolerated in our hostel!". The homeless persons loudly imitated me crying in a sarcastic, cruel way while the staff told me I imagined being hit and noone would believe me because the staff were 4-5 against me so police & Booking.com would only believe them. The hostel didn't condemn the violence. I wanted a nice stay, go to museums, galleries and enjoy Liverpool, and to leave with good memories. Not with bruises. I wish I'd been told its a drug dealing hostel so I inform those of you who wish to avoid witnessing it and just want a pleasant stay with access to charge, no violence, no verbal abuse etc.

Location was great, spa facilities also

    • Negative section of review

The staff were really unfriendly. I went up to the front desk to ask where to go for the spa and the man behind the desk (he had white hair and was wearing glasses) barely looked at me and said “downstairs” and as I was walking away I heard him and another woman (petite with dark brown hair) giggling, making me feel like an idiot. Maybe don’t laugh at your customers while they’re in the room.
