Lovely, clean and cosy, room, very relaxing. We were greeted by Bernie and John, who were the hosts, they were very welcoming and friendly, they were lovely. The Welsh cooked breakfast was delicious and tasty, the home made bread, which was made by John was amazing, and there was a lot of tasty extras to have too. Myself and my wife, had a really lovely relaxing time there, we would love to return there again very soon.

Staff were attentive and pleasant. Reception staff dealt with all requests effectively and efficiently. Housekeeping was very good with attention to detail and the provision of tea, coffee, towels etc was excellent. The food was excellent, with good service and a pleasant environment

The room was compact, even though it was an upgrade. Spa facilities were limited: without changing facilities or chairs for relaxing, and the pool was used for children's swimming lessons.

It was very noisy with the other people staying there. The rooms were very old not very clean. There was no point in complaining because there was no one on the desk.

Clear check in instructions Very comfy bed and room had a good supply of tea/ coffee. Accommodation in a good location for local facilities.

Our rooms were at the back of a pub so some noise at night for 1 room and the other room had a vent from the kitchen very close by so some noise/ cooking smells. One room had a small sofa in which caused some difficulty for bathroom access as the room was quite small. Only 1 bedside lamp in each room.

The location is lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean.

Rooms are not very quiet, you can hear everyone else who staying in the lodge, especially if people are in an out then front door slams. We had a room downstairs with music on which you could hear quite clearly. There also aren’t any lamps in the room so have to sit with the big light on. The room was also hot as you can’t turn the bathroom radiator off. We also were not told that there was a wedding on the day we arrived and that the restaurant was going to be closed between 4pm and 8pm. There also isn’t parking near the lodge, there are drop off points however you have to park your car back at the reception car park.

The bed was rock solid. We stayed in room 5 and the mattress was awful, we both stay in a lot of hotels for work and it must of been the worst mattress ever. Like a board. And the pillows were very firm. The room next door our parents stayed in and the bed was lovely. OTHER than the bed, the room, pub and food was amazing and the staff were lovely. I would stay again if I didn’t have the rock solid mattress.
