The staff were lovely welcoming nice people, who pointed out straight away any little thing they thought may bother me, although the room was great. The room had lots of little extra things like biscuits, tea & coffee, toiletries etc. It is my second stay here and I will definetly return again.

The staff were very friendly on our arrival, it was my daughter's birthday while we were there. I had asked for balloons in the room but unfortunately they couldn't accommodate, they did however add a little something for her which she loved.

Car park was good, check in was great. vroom was good and clean. Noise was not an issue. Breakfast was ok, coffee not so good. staff were really friendly and helpful. the evening food was good and good value.

The breakfast was fantastic no problems there, the view was great of the river. only a short walk to the town and a walk by the river. The pool area was okay with a nice sauna for the cold day.

The décor was a bit shabby and showing its age and in need of a little TLC, nowhere to hang you coats other than a small wardrobe and nowhere to put you clothes at night. Plenty of electric sockets but none with USB charging ports. Room was a little small but ok.

Pheasant’s Retreat is an amazingly spacious, spotlessly clean, well decorated and fully equipped lodge. The hot tub and fire pit make for a lovely end to any day whatever the weather.

The room was very clean and the toilet was well maintained and modern. The staff are exceptionally friendly and will help to accomadate your requests.

There was not a lot of food options or shops because the hotel is in a very small village, and the nearest town was at least a 20 minute drive away. Since I was there for work, it was not a big issue as I dined at the pub restaurant. The rooms were not very soundproof and if another room had the tv on you could hear what was playing.

Excellent location. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff very helpful. Superior room was clean and had excellent views.

The en-suite is a little small and the shower head was not the best. Advised they provide toiletries but only one small tube of shower gel, shampoo and body lotion for two people. They were also not replenished on our second day. I expect we could have asked for some but why should we have too.

Heating problems and how it was dealt with. Also no provision of a bath mat for a wet room. Plus a badly worded polite notice warning clients not to take the coat hangers. All could have been dealt with in a much better way.
