Positive section of review
The location was brilliant. It had a lovely view of the river and was close to the city centre. Parking across the road was free and straightforward. The property was really clean and well-presented. It was well-equipped. The wifi worked well. There were nice touches, like books, biscuits, chocolate and sudoku provided. The host was really communicative prior to arrival. Checking in and out was easy. There were lots of pots and pans, so you could properly cook for yourself (although there could have been more than 4 of each crockery item). The guest book had all the information needed for a comfortable stay. The property felt safe, even though it was on a fairly busy street (pedestrians and vehicles) - the doors felt secure and there were smoke and heat alarms throughout. We all really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

No tea towel or sponge was provided. The windows were a bit tricky to open and close; if left at all open, there was road noise at the front of the house. The stairs were a bit nerve-racking for small children. (A stairgate would have been great.) A latch on the back gate would have made it feel even more secure. One of the bedroom doors didn't close properly.

The room was impeccable. It was cleaned daily even though I only stayed for 4 nights. There was a hair dryer and other pleasant details in the room. There was a lift, which was very positive due to having heavy luggage. The location was wonderful, a few steps from local amenities (shops, restaurants, supermarkets and two train stations) and the neighbourhood around Kensington was safe and stunning. There was always someone at the reception and the staff were very polite.

My main issue was soundproofing. I specifically asked for a quiet room but I was given a room next to others and I could hear murmuring which woke me up very early every morning. I could also hear footsteps from the room above mine, and the lift could be a bit faster. Breakfast was sufficient although I expected something more.

Great location for theatre, tube stations. Staff were friendly, attentive, couldn't do enough Air con worked well in the room Staff provided an iron on request. Mini bar, honesty bar for spirits, hot drinks available via room service Room service menu looked impressive. No restaurant but the bacon sandwiches served in the room for breakfast were excellent in size and quality

When we arrived, they had put us in a upstairs room, which was'nt suitable as my husband has some issues and uses a wheelchair, but the guy on reception changed our room for us on the ground floor. It would have been nice to know there wasn't a lift in the building.

This place advertises itself as a hotel, but to me it was more of a place to stay for bed and breakfast only. We did find our own entertainment outside of course, but the only facilities this place did have was the bedrooms.
