Mersea Villa itself was a beautiful place to stay, very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The location was perfect, the beach in view from the decking and less than a minute's walk away. The area was incredibly quiet too,, presumably it may be a bit busier during school holidays, but it seems this would always be a peaceful place. We went for peace and the sea, so this was absolutely perfect.

Our room was spacious, beds very comfortable and pillows yummy. I could not fault the bedding. Breakfast was great. So much to choose from. Staff wonderfully helpfull. Within an easy 20minute walk to bars and restaurants. Supermarket right across the road. The only downside was the seagulls making a racket early in the morning. I have been told that's what to expect in Exeter. 😃

good location - warren st. tube is right there next to the hotel. the room we got from the second night (after complaining on the first room) was much better, on the 4th floor. this room was spacious, clean. 2 beds. good matress, nice linen. hot water and good shower power. water bottle were given daily.

the first night we arrived we received a room on the ground floor right behind the hotel restaurant's pipes. with fried food smell etc....(we paid for a 7 night premium room so we were dissapointed with this, and with the cold welcome from the reception representative.) we asked for a coffee machine (since we had one in the previous room) and were told that we shall get one, but we never did. maybe we would have, if we insisted, but we let it go. the night before we left we called reception and asked for a wake up call, which never came... strange. some members of the staff were lovely and kind, while othere less so.

We had lots of room, with a 2 bedroom apartment. The parking was on-site. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped. The help with breakfast cereals and other provisions was appreciated.

Very nice modern country style room, extremely clean and well kept! Shower was superb. The breakfast was excellent like all the meals we had at the inn. Friendly staff!

This hotel is in a lovely location & ideal when you have an early ferry from Larne. Staff were very friendly & helpful.There is plenty of private parking.

The room was very hot overnight as the windows only opened a few inches and had both nets and heavy curtains. The duvet was a winter one 10.5 tog and no option of a sheet and light blanket.
