Positive section of review
We were a party of 5 cyclists doing the Cantii Way. This quirky property was a converted Grade II listed building that the owners painstakingly restored to a high quality into a 3 bedroom house comprising 2 double and 1 twin bedroom, kitchen and lounge. The host lady was extremely friendly and took time to explain the do's and dont's. The kitchen was quite large with dining area and user friendly with all facilities and utilities to cook if you needed them, we didn't. There was a secluded area at the back of the property to lock up our bikes and this also included a table and chairs with a breath taking view over the downs. There was a tennis court to the rear but not sure if it was allowed to use this, but if available a great facility if you fancied a knock and for kids to play. Plenty of free parking. We got a very good nights sleep and I would not hesitate to book here again if I was in the area.

The stairs were a bit creeky, but this is the rustic nature of the renovation and not much could be done about that. There was only one toilet and one shower (both separate) so night time visits may wake up others but it did not affect me and coordinated morning showers are required. The television was not working but I'm not sure we were operating it properly but it would be needed if a family let the property for any length of time. There being no ensuite bathrooms may put folk off but the other cooking facilities and value for money out-weighed this disadvantage. Oh yes and the dividing bedroom door had no obvious locking system but we managed ok.

Bed was amazingly comfy. The receptionists girl we spoke to was so wonderful and bubbly and gave a really warm atmosphere to our arrival and departure even though shebwasnt checking us out and just saw us leaving. The room was really well decorated, the windows were a big part of the corner of the room and were gorgeous. The heating was really quick and easy to use. The location is fantastic if you come by train.

WiFi was weak . Just a recommendation apartment was very modern would have benefited from usb sockets . But not a complaint at all

Was told was a really decent hotel prior Room was dated, slanted so bed on a slant dirty and unclean , Bath was filthy and sold the idea of TV in bathroom, didn’t work Shower didn’t work properly dribbles out would of taken a weekend to get clean had to go visit friends locally.. Stayed out as long as we could to avoid coming back to the room. Upon returning the key didn’t work, 3 times back to reception in the end let us in with a master key. Paid for breakfast including Food wasn’t good and most things had nothing left , and just tasteless or burnt Breakfast @ Tiffanys wasn’t edible

Kettle was full of some unknown dirt inside. The shower drain was blocked. I had to remove hair from drain to be able to shower( I'm a man not havin' long hair to be the reason for the blockage in first place) Only 1 towel (booked for 3 adults) No shower gel/hand soap nor the worst toilet paper

The whole Breakfast system not value for money my mummy elderly then going back and fore for coffee tea toast it would be nicer going for cereal etc then have tea coffe toast served
