Positive section of review
Buffet breakfast fantastic. One of the best! They have a beautiful bar on level 8 that has an outdoor area overlooking the city which is a great feature for having a pre-dinner drink. Rooms are modern but a bit small for 2 people travelling from overseas with 2 checked suitcases. Location is 10-15 min walking distance to city centre (Westminster bridge, London Eye etc).

Rooms small, but modern. Not much room to lay 2 suitcases out. Shower inside the bath is very dangerous for people not steady on their feet.(Hotel staff said they are slowly removing the baths and making walk-in showers over the next 6 months, so they are at least aware. What is it with the Brits and their showers inside baths??? Time to catch-up with the modern world and just have walk-in showers in hotel bathrooms!! Make sure to book on "city-side view" and from level 8 upwards, as "road side view" rooms (& those on lower level floors) can be very noisy with traffic. There is an ambulance station just 200m up Waterloo Rd and in the middle of the night, you will have ambulance sirens waking you up "on the hour" as they depart the station. Not the hotels fault, but very annoying being woken up. City-side view rooms on upper levels did not suffer these noises. (We stayed in both types of rooms). Air conditioning did not work at all in restaurant the whole 6 days we stayed, so got very warm when having breakfast each morning. They said it is being replaced during June 2024. Let's hope so!

Lovely room. Very clean. They had a kettle in the room with a lot of choices of refreshments. No iron or hairdryer though but was able to get an iron from reception so that was good. The breakfast was very nice. A few good choices. Staff were very helpful. Great location.

Not very many home comforts. We had the four poster bed but it was more like a small double. Not very big. Although very quiet, we didn’t get much sleep. Loads of noise from creaking floorboards above us. They need to sort this out. It was very loud. Just probably Someone walking but sounded like a herd of elephants!

Friendly, welcoming and very helpful staff. Room large and comfortable with decent sized bathroom. Adequate on site parking and close to major route network but no traffic noise. Food good, breakfast included in the price, and plenty available. No need to leave hungry.

Dog friendly, neither my wife nor I are dog lovers. She hates them with a passion, having been bitten by supposedly "friendly" dogs several times. This is not a show stopper for me as dogs were on leads and generally were well behaved. There was some barking though. Dogs were enough for my wife to say says she is unlikely to return.

We always stay at the Queens when staying in Brighton. The rooms are a good size and views of the sea and pier are beautiful. Good facilities and use of the gym and pool. Excellent breakfast served and a nice bar.
