The house was clean and tidy, fresh milk in the fridge, plenty info/instructions regarding where to find stuff/who to contact etc. It was lovely to meet our host and good of her to check everything was ok with our stay when we arrived.

Spotlessly clean with a great location, staff quick to attend to any request, our room was checked every day by staff.

Nowhere to put bathroom items, no shelves at all and oddly no plug in the sink. No iron or hairdryer in the room, short on coat hangers, when we requested more hangers and a hair dryer it was dealt with quickly and without fuss.

Lodge was a good size for 4 but looking a little tired in places - especially bathroom and bedrooms.

Tiredness as it wasn’t that cheap to stay there. There appeared to be a number if digs wandering free and pooing on communal grassed areas!!

Not great value taking into account the price you pay. Dark rooms with a steep staircase between the two floors (we had a 2-bedroom apartment). Some parts of the room are quite dated. Tiny bathroom on one floor and even tinier toilet on another floor- very uncomfortable and not ideal for an apartment that can fit 6 people.

Location is convenient if you need to be on one of the two university campuses.

I was assigned a wheelchair accessible room. That meant the bathroom did not have a proper shower separated from the rest of the bathroom, with no curtain going all the way around it or to the floor. As a result, every time I took a shower the whole bathroom got flooded and many towels had to be put on the floor to prevent walking on a soaked floor afterwards. The staff refused to help in any way if not providing more towels. Terrible experience and absolutely I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. For the price paid at this hotel, you would expect a better treatment.

I was a little bit disappointed we didn’t get breakfast, which I thought was included. We were told by two other guests that breakfast wasn’t being served on Monday morning. A friend recommended we stay at The Rooms and she said breakfast was lovely, do we had been looking forward to it Also, when I’ve booked with booking.com before, I have always paid in checkout. However, there was no staff around when we left on Monday morning.
