Lovely staff, very comfortable beds & clean room, tea & coffee/hot choclate and biscuits was lovely. Breakfast had a great selection and very tasty.

Not keen on a bar of soap, when paying £130 a night I would have expected hand soap, shower gel and a small moisturiser, didnt include breakfast. There was a slight gap and the window didnt close correctly so i did hear several planes landing.

Very well laid out. Room was pristine and had everything we needed in it. Nice view over the gardens from the window.

Parking. Very small car park with an overflow into the Uni multi story carpark next door. This wasn’t mentioned ahead of arrival and also there was a wedding at the hotel so all of the complimentary car parking was taken by wedding guests. We had to park on a higher floor and pay. This wasn’t an issue as such but would have been good to be prepared and also this might be an issue for mid week stays.

There is a serious issue with the plumbing in that the kitchen tap clearly needs fixing, which the owners are aware of but hadn't fixed. It makes the most awful noise every time a shower is used and towards the end of our stay was constantly leaking. The tv wasn't working which the owners knew, they ended up having to buy a new one given it was raining the whole week we were indoors. We were grateful for this. They are planning to renovate the property so letting it run down which isn't fair on current customers.

We Booked the restaurant and the food was really good.

the building in certain part is starting ot look very dated. we were also very disappointed that the fire in the grand hall is not being lit. The hall in the evening get very cold and was pretty uncomfortable without the fire. I asked serval times with little or no response.
