Stone henge minutes away! Good base to get your head down if you're more concerned about exploring rather than wanting a luxury stay. Bed was very comfy. Quiet nights sleep. Couldn't hear the main road with windows closed. Temperature was perfect. Majority of staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and approachable. Loads of parking. 24 hr desk useful. Good range of drinks available. The mattress and topper under the bedding were clean, no stains or anything. Nice coffee machine at breakfast. Evening meal had a lot of choice.

Being fair, we didn’t tell the staff any of these problems. We just wanted a hassle free place to get our head down for the night ready for an early start the next day. I imagine that if these problems were highlighted, they would have fixed most of them without trouble. We spotted a black hair on one of the pillows (bedding was clean, hair likely just fell from the headboard or fell on the bed when the room was dusted or something) we just didn't use this pillow. There were beard trimmings on the window sill in the ensuite, but the sink and toilet were very very clean! Personal preference, we didn't like the non slip mat in the shower, they tend to have bacteria. You could see the towels were clean and hadn't been used, but they didn't have that crisp laundered feel or smell to them which meant I questioned it a little, but after a thorough check, I was confident they were clean. Room smelt okay, not overly fresh. Empty/not popular. No atmosphere. Food was the big let down. For reference, we think it had a lower standard than weatherspoons. Using weather spoons for reference as the food didn't taste or feel fresh, but I do think its reflected in the reasonable pricing on the most part. Wonder whether a smaller menu but concentrating on freshness would be an idea to consider? Any fried food, including vegetarian options had a dirty oil taste this included the evening meal and the hashbrowns in the morning. It tasted all the same and like dirty oil. Wonder if vegetarian was cooked in same oil as meat aswell? Tasted like it. It was disappointing that we heard someone from the kitchen saying something along the lines of that they're fed up of cooking for vegetarians. There were not assigned food tongs for the breakfast which meant cross contamination could occur if you're worried about that. Some of the plates weren't clean so had to go through the stack to find clean ones.

The location was perfect for easy access to sea, shops and pubs. The local rep, Anna was extremely helpful and offered to provide a ramp if I needed it to get disability scooter indoors

Noisy at night from people leaving the pubs and lack of rear access or garden for our dogs. Parking difficult to find as I cannot walk far.

Perfect location for theatres, hotel has everything in terms of bars and amenities and cold water dispensers near the lifts.

The window into the centre void did not close properly and was a bit draughty. Also the shower gel dispenser did not work properly.

Prices of food and drink. Obvious stains around pool at water level, and on white overflow tiles around jaccuzzi. Lack of hanging hooks in room for wet towels and bath robes. Lack of alternative sizes in slippers and bath robes for larger people. Very noisy (loud voices) passing rooms in corridors at night. Atmosphere in restaurant was not relaxing.
