Positive section of review
It was very cosy and beautifully decorated. Lots of little touches, such as the labels on the bottles, stuff for the dog, the milk and orange juice on arrival. Could go on. Location is good, just a short drive to Colwell Beach and Alum Sands. In short, would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Nothing major. A few “nice to haves” such as a slightly bigger sink in the bathroom and a light over the mirror. Also the kitchen would benefit from a small, folding step to help reach the top shelves of the cupboards and easier access to the microwave. But really these are tiny niggles and are massively outweighed by all the positives.

Amazing location, clean hotel with parking. Lovely bar staff Mucktadir was very helpful and recommended a lovely selection of rosé wine with descriptions for each one.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the bedding really tired and thin. The pillows were dreadful and I didn't sleep well. The walls seemed to be paper thin and you could hear every noise and voice. I kept the radio on through the night to try and drown out any noise. Not relaxing. The restaurant was closed which we knew and that was fine. The staff were great organising food after the business meeting went on longer than expected and were so lovely. The meeting room was nice and was set up for us which was good. The room really let the experience down as mentioned.

Great location, beautiful and peaceful surroundings and nice walk to nearby town and stones throw from Carr Taylor vineyard.

It didn’t have a fridge - but we were prepared with a cool box and ice, and the owners had thoughtfully also provided a cool box. But nonetheless, the simplicity of the property is it’s charm - don’t go if you expect all the bells and whistles! (Having said that, there are plenty of bells and whistles - hot shower, gas hob, wood burner!)

TV had purple and green lines through the screen. The lights on the ceiling were flickering, even though they weren't meant to. Plug sockets very loose. Hardly spent time in the room due to it behind unbearably hot. Had to ask few times for a fan.
