It was a very cozy, home-like stay. Everything in the room and house was neat and clean. The room faced the garden, so it was very quiet. Had a very good deep sleep. We had very warm days, so it was nice to eat outside in the garden. Also it was great to be able to use the kitchen for cooking. And breakfast options were sufficient! Excellent value for money. We particularly enjoyed being close to the river and nature. Thank you very much, Dorota!

A fabulous stay at Finchden Barn The accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Such a beautiful property that felt like home from home. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and was a relatively short walk into Tenterden. I would highly recommend this property.

Nothing to dislike, but may be worth updating the details on Booking.com as breakfast items are no longer supplied. For coffee drinkers, a coffee machine was supplied but no pods. ( however instant coffee sachets and handful of teabags were supplied) Other than that it was a perfect stay

Friendly staff, spacious, warm, good facilities, some lovely character features, excellent bar, great breakfast selection, the swimming pool is awesome!

Warm, friendly greeting by staff however met with an unpleasant smell, that lingered the whole time - drainage perhaps? The decor is a real mismatch of dated, tired, standard furniture to some gorgeous features and fixtures! It feels like work in progress, needs further tlc and investment, choose a theme and run with it throughout, a more considered colour palette and consistent style. So much potential! The building is full of history and features that could be utilised to better effect. The pool is a real asset but needs some maintenance and repairs. Dinner was all a bit of shambles, very simple, dare I say cheap (although wasn’t a cheap bill!) basic almost canteen like! Not befitting of what could be a stunning, destination hotel restaurant. Unfortunately we joked that it was all a bit like being a part of Fawlty Towers! A huge shout out to the staff for their upbeat attitude and enthusiasm though!

The room we were allocated hadn't been cleaned.the staff in the restaurant at breakfast were very slow and most looked as if they didn't want to be there and unhelpful.

Breakfast didn’t start until 8:30am and I wasn’t served until 9am. It meant a late start to my hike.

Bathroom cleanliness and quality. Floor cleanliness. Loud bar, interstate, TVs and planes. Generally just thin walls was the issue.
