rooms were nice but bathrooms outdated. Staff was nice but twice we were looked after by a trainee at the front desk and I was surprised that she was left to her own devices. It took a long time to check in and she wasn’t able to answer our questions. I understand what it means to train for a position but the hotel should ensure that there is a fully trained staff member at hand to assist where needed.

the breakfast was very disappointing. The bread rolls were so dry I am convinced they were baked Monday and left to be eaten all week. Quite shocking considering the usual Marriott standard.

The reception man at check in was very polite and clever. He concluded the process in no time and was cleverly flexible to understand that he could skip the 50 GBP security deposit for a 55 year old with his wife who would stay only for 1 night and check out at 05:30 a.m. The room was spacious and clean, just perfect for those who only need to get a nice sleep and remain in LHR for their next trip.

Perhaps the view. They could have certainly added a toilet brush. The convenience of not travelling outside the airport area is certainly great, but rather pricy.

The shower door was broken unfortunately as had come off the runner. You were unable to turn on the bedroom light unless you goto the switch by the main door. A switch near or above the bed would've been nice.
