The location is fabulous with great grounds to walk in, owls, cuckoos and the loch. The staff were very friendly and the food was high class, including langoustines as a starter within the DBB price. The rooms were huge and quirky with everything you could want. The hotel is like being in a stately home with a large drawing room.

If you want ultra-modern facilities with no maintenance issues, this is not for you but we absolutely loved it!

The location is beautiful. The grounds are wonderful for walking and views to the back of the property extend for miles. Breakfast at the Botánica in the Spa was delicious and the restaurant very comfortable and attractively presented. Service everywhere was excellent.

It’s a lovely cottage, in the most part well appointed and comfortable, nice surroundings.

I booked this cottage particularly because I knew we would need access to a washing machine and dryer by this stage in our trip. The dryer doesn’t work (and the owner knows this as per the instructions in the house) which left us with a large bag of wet laundry the next day when we had to leave and no way of getting it dry. Don’t advertise a washer dryer if you don’t deliver that facility.

The house was not as advertised. The house was dirty, hadn't been cleaned for sometime. Disgusting. No towels, the dishwasher was full, washing machine full of wet washing and stunk too. When you showered there was water running down the walls in the kitchen. There was only 1 toilet working in the property.
