Location ideal, near both bus and train station and close to town centre . Staff all friendly and helpful. Highlight was the excellent breakfast. Self service but English breakfast items were freshly cooked. Also included choice of cereals, yogurt, toast, orange or apple juice, tea or coffee. Great start to the day

Room was a bit dated and although non smoking throughout I did smell cigarettes. I originally thought the shower was poor but it just took longer than normal to heat up to temperature. I found the stairs steep and felt I had to take extra care carrying my suitcases up and down.

The reception staff could not be more welcoming. Likewise our delightful waiter at dinner (delicious!) Sadly, we didn't have time to stay for breakfast, but I'll be back next month with my husband, so we will indulge ourselves then!

The owners were lovely and very welcoming. An old manor house but with modern features like the shower. A very pleasant stay and a lovely breakfast. Also a very big and comfy bed with a nice garden view. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely welcome from a lovely couple. Hot tub and peaceful location. Two pubs within 1.5 mile walk and a nearby restaurant made the location convenient.

I liked it all but if pushed to get picky, then Only one chair in room when plenty space for 2 Breakfast - no staff and dirty tables, cleared our own as only small number of tables and no clean ones set. Mirror in narrowest part of room trying to squeeze past when friend applying make up
