The breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients. We had the full English …no room for anything else! We ate dinner in the restaurant both evenings and was excellent. Good beer in the pub too. All round good place for a few days break.

Only a minor point is that if you are a light sensitive sleeper ,you may need to take an eye mask as the curtains aren’t black out, or the sun enters via the edges.

Excellent location, clean, confortable and big bedroom. Besides that, location was also a plus. Really close to anything and you could just walk around the city. Totally worth it staying there.

Wi-fi connection wasn't working great inside the dorm. My bed was near the window, far from the "center" of the room, it was quite bad. But in reception or kitchen, that was good.

The food was excellent and the staff friendly. The position of the hotel was good. They accommodated me having a dog very well with waitress service at meal times

When I arrived the lift was broken so they changed my room to the second floor as I have a mobility problem. This was at the back of the hotel with a view of the coaches and what looked like heating ventilators which was noisy. The room was not pleasant and needed an update. On the second day they told me the lift was fixed, only for me to get stuck in it for ten minutes. This was not pleasant as I have asthma. I was rescued and then told the lift would be out of action for two weeks. If I could have moved hotels I would have. Having to go walk up the stair to the second floor was a nightmare and resulted in a lot of pain.

What an amazing hostel right by the SWCP. A hostel how it should be with wonderful dorms, a shared kitchen and brilliant staff that encourages story sharing.

Bed. Uncomfortable but they did change the mattress. Also found n empty carrier bag under the bed from a previous stay? Although the date on the receipt was 2 weeks previous.
