  Bed was passably comfortable, only because I had stayed in a harder, smaller bed in a budget chain the previous week.

  No lift and 2.5 very steep flights of stairs. Least the property could do is have a porter to carry cases up/down. I’d expect no lift in a townhouse in Paddington but not this far out of central London. Breakfast was so horrendous in both choice, staff attitude and quality that I didn’t bother the second morning. Normally I love hotel buffet breakfasts but definitely not this one.
