Well sorry about the rules about the cleaning and sorry about a few guests being rude but they were just minor mistakes but, I’m a guy in training at being a guest at the hotel just need to keep practicing all the way.

Located right inside Albert Dock. Nice view on the river or the basin. Interior is rather old and a little worn off, but otherwise well maintained. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is included and good.

Wifi was broken in the rooms, only available at the Reception/breakfast area. Staff said it would be fixed during the next week. (Repair difficult because of thick walls.) Breakfast only had very few fruits and vegetables available.

Breakfast was excellent, team member serving us at breakfast was great and very chatty! In general, the rooms and all other areas were very clean and well maintained.

We thought it was overpriced for what was represented. We did not see the owner of the establishment at anytime during our stay. When checking out, there was no team member present on the reception area, we just left our keys there. It would have been nice to have been offered a pleasant parting comment on our departure from the hotel.

Location is excellent - just a 15 mins. walk into town. Plus some on site parking available at no cost. Breakfast is good and the waitress staff were excellent.

Amazing location ! Beautiful Buxton and Peak district. Good restaurants and Pubs close by. Shops as well. The room was comfortable.

Access to the room was very restrictive. It was an attic, with a very narrow stairway and low ceilings. Not good for the elderly, large people or anyone with reduced mobility. No staff or food available outside 9am to to 5pm. Not obvious, maybe not mentioned at all when we booked on Booking.com

The size of the room was amazing, especially with the separate little room for our daughter. The garden was lovely to sit out in.

The first receptionist was nice but we felt a bit rushed ( she may be new so I’ll forgive that). The bar service was a little slow, but with the new staff member on her own was not a good way to train staff up. We booked a table in the restaurant, luckily it was not busy but we stood at the door for a long time before we actually had a member of staff come to us. We were sat and then we had another small wait to get our menus ect. When the food came over, it was really underwhelming. My wife and daughters cheese pasta was only warm, lacking in sauce and not very cheesy at all. The other two meals were not too bad, we don’t like complaining but felt we had to when the waiter came over. He was very kind, took it on board and told the chef and too his credit they did remove both cheesy pasta meals from the bill. The breakfast was almost like a bun fight, with residents nearly causing a fire and the staff members looking like a deer in headlights not knowing what to do. I don’t know if there had been an influx of new staff but in my opinion there needs to be more focus on training.
