Loved the remote venue, the property is beautifully finished and furnished. The bedding and towels were good quality and the beds extra firm. The sofa is huge and very comfortable. Loved the view and was rewarded by visits from red kites and eagles the first day.

Could do with a welcome pack to explain how everything worked. We searched for ages to find the Wi-Fi code only to discover it was unsecured eventually. The hidden cutlery drawer and the different kettle settings were also an adventure. No vacuum cleaner available for the floors. The heating had a strange timetable and no instructions on how to turn it down even though our weeks stay was warm. No Wi-Fi or phone reception in the bedrooms. Silly little niggly things that could easily be corrected.

The location is excellent and the staff go above and beyond. We've stayed 4 times now and Yvonne has been brilliant, She has remembered us from previous times and always makes time to have a wee chat.

What an amazing place to stay. Beautifully designed house with absolutely everything you could want during a vacation. Immaculate in every way, bed and shower were just heavenly.

Location excellent for Blenheim Palace and Oxford. Has restaurant on site which is adequate. Clean, warm, large bed, very nice bathroom, good parking.

After booking we received an email about a cash bond which wasn't expected and, given it was cash and not card, meant incurring international atm withdrawal fees. However on arrival this wasn't required. The bathroom light switch was near the ceiling so not accessible. The room floor was on a lean so feet were lower than the head when in the bed so had to sleep the other way round which meant facing the toilet door.

The property does not have parking, we ended up having to move cars several times and pay for parking. The house is too small for 6 adults & with only one bathroom it’s not ideal. The basement bedroom smelt damp and was very cold.
