Well, I wasn't actually accommodated at the Hotel, but farmed out to the partner accommodation at the pub, The Old Inn. The place was extremely busy and the staff seemed stressed out. Sitting in the bar was like waiting in A&E. The location was very pleasant, the parking was good.

The room was very pleasant, but two single beds pushed together does not make a deluxe double. Some members of staff were a little abrupt in thier manner. The dining room areas were rather tatty and the food was average.

Thanks for a great comfy stay. Luxury little storage container, it felt like a little cabin. Well equipped, every bit of space thought out, wonderful design! Unexpected gem surrounded by a lovely walking track. What a great experience, perfect for couples.

Breakfast was very good. Would have liked a walk in shower. Plug in sink needed attention.

Mutton dressed as lamb, or as my old mum would say "all fur coat and no knickers". The hotel had apparently just been refurbished, but this would appear to be purely a cosmetic change, and not a very good one at that. Poor quality workmanship throughout. The hotel is spread across a number of odd levels requiring the negotiation of several flights of stairs to get to our room, there is a lift but it was not working at the time of our visit. Room 202 was sold to us as a "double" room? At best it should be a single occupancy room with a single bed away from the sloping ceiling but even then it's pushing it. The room itself is a small attic room with a ceiling that drops at one side, my wife is only 4'10 and even she banged her head on a number of occasions when getting out of bed. If you are a Hobbit then the room may suit you. The only chair supplied is what I would describe as a plastic princess play chair, the sort of thing you would find in a childs play room. There is no way of switching off the main lights without getting out of bed and for some reason the room is incredibly hot, we had to have both windows open for the duration of our stay even with night time temperatures dropped below 10. The bathroom had a shower that was barely useable due to low pressure and on first use I had to run it for literally 20mins before it got hot. The sink although very fancy looking was also totally impractical in a bathroom of that size, you could barely get past it to reach the toilet due to it's close proximity to the shower cubicle, and a heated towel rail that although turned on wasn't even remotely warm. My sister stayed at the same time as us in room 205 and her room was pretty much spot on, large, spacious almost everything worked and no plastic chairs!

The lane for the hotel was just undrivable, When I say pot holes I mean there wasn't a flat bit on it. We bottomed out the insignia with huge crunch sounds many times. There was no passable route to go especially after rains and at night. We wish we just slept in the car! Luckily we didn't bring my lowered motor or it would of been left there to be recovered

Did not have breakfast

On my previous stays in Comfort Inn breakfast was included in the cost. It was not included this time which I was disappointed with as I felt I paid enough for breakfast to be included!
