Very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped accommodation in a rural location. There was a small back garden to relax in. Peter and Sarah were friendly and kindly let us store and charge our e-bikes in their garage. They also provided deck chairs and sun loungers but we didn't have much hot weather to use them.

The back garden was slightly overlooked by the owners next door

The cottage is in a great location with lovely views over the valley and town and offers very comfortable accommodation. Tweed Cottage is also within easy walking distance of the centre of Jedburgh, which has great cafes and some quirky shops as well as a useful supermarket.

We didn't like the idea of a half-eaten packet of biscuits and a similarly half-consumed tub of ice cream being left in situ. Also, we were lucky enough to visit Scotland during a spell of warm weather and therefore found the very heavy duvet in the main bedroom uncomfortable. It would be an improvement if a spring/summer duvet could be an option. Neither of these things spoilt our stay but just a little bit more attention to detail would have made it even better.

Location great Parking great Everything you need in the kitchen was there and provided. The sheets and duvet and towels were nice. I even had to look up where you bought them! The communication from the host was great. Even Netflix.

This isn’t about the host/property but I booked it thinking a £90 voucher could be used and it wasn’t able to be used but that ended up meaning it was more than I was expecting. Had I realised it wasn’t going to work I would have booked into somewhere cheaper but I felt the host was reasonable with me so I don’t hold this against the host it was booking.com

I loved the style of this accommodation, especially the dark walls and quirky portraits on the walls. The beds were so comfy and clean. Although four posters, they were contemporary in style.

No private parking. Fridge breakfast wasn’t great - maybe better simply in a basket out of the fridge.

Breakfast was fantastic and nice bathroom.

Work going on was quite disruptive and noisy and although this was made clear before the visit it was more extensive that expected. Eg scaffolding outside the window. This wasn't reflected in the price with it still being an expensive stay.
