  The food and service in the hotel restaurant is excellent, the best we have ever experienced on our travels. The room was very nice, we managed to get an upgrade for the price of a normal room, which was excellent. Quiet and peaceful, which is what we like. A great place if you have dogs, they even have a doggy menu.

  Lovely classical house. We had a great view of Arthur’s Seat. A very friendly and helpful welcome from the manager. Lovely part of the city which is about 20-25 minutes walk away. Very good bus service also.

  It is such a beautiful hidden gem. The service is outstanding and the food is exceptional.

  Genuinely nothing - if I had any quibbles at all (and I’d be digging very deep here) I couldn’t find a hairdryer but I had one of my own and I’m positive had I asked at reception I would have been given one.

  Ac didn’t work, got changed to another room and it was even worse. Engineer visited on the 2nd day and ac worked for a short period but then got hot again at night time making it uncomfortable to sleep
