Positive section of review
I was very impressed with Longlands. We were shown to our room by Marcel, who explained everything to us. The room was comfortable and has tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was huge and newly refurbished. We ate in the restaurant in evening and the food was very good. It has a very modern and contemporary feel to it which I liked. The breakfast was ample with fresh fruit and cereal available from a buffet and then a cooked breakfast served if you would like one.

The only slight negative was that our room overlooked the front of the hotel onto the road which was quite noisy.

The beds were comfy and the room well equipped. The bathroom was massive (although lacked a bath). The swimming pool became a firm favourite for us. Within walking distance of the beach and main parts of the city.

The buffet breakfast was too steep (especially for a family of four when the kids aren't going to eat that much). The restaurant doesn't open until later so (with kids) we normally eat at 5pm so had to dine out.

Good location , comfy beds & good choice of breakfast . Bar area to relax in if had a busy day which we used after a day at Harewood house, lovely pleasant staff happy to help with queries & directions.

Understandably, with exterior work going on, I presume that when it finishes& scaffolding is down an upgrade to the room .maybe done as looked a bit tired.

We loved the seclusion and peaceful surroundings. The amenities and facilities were fantastic and clean. And the bed was one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in.

One small thing was the number of towels provided. We had 1 hand towel and 1 large towel each, which would be fine if we didn't use the hot tub. So an extra towel would have been nice.
