Positive section of review
The lady at Reception was so helpful and friendly, giving very useful advice on us exploring the area. Her very accurate description of the route to the coast from the hotel was spot-on! She knew who we were before we gave our names - her attention to guests was an exemplar others could learn from (other hotels, not La Barbarie!) The restaurant personnel were very helpful with checking my daughter's long list of allergies and understanding of her travel-sickness, making sensible recommendations for settling her stomach. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble, all questions were answered comprehensively and we felt in safe hands.

The duvet felt rather stiff and not too 'snuggly'. English breakfast was good, although, as a vegetarian, wasn't too impressed with the bacon being served alongside the mushrooms/beans(?), with possible 'contamination' of serving implements.

Really nice property over all. Fantastic entrance and dining room. Very polite and helpful staff helped us arrange our vehicles to be first out in the morning. Continental breakfast was available from 7 and very kindly offered for free. Short walk to local supermarket and a couple of pubs nearby. 40 minute walk into the city centre which was OK for a group of 30 somethings. Comfortable beds at the end of a long day.

Room itself was a little dated and our bathroom door didn't close properly. Would have preferred an extra couple of pillows in the wardrobe just in case.

This apartment was in the heart of the nightclub district. If you are there for the nightlife then this location would be perfect. Overall the apartment was spacious, clean and located close to all kinds of restaurants and amenities.

bring earplugs because the music goes until the wee hours of the morning and it’s like they are playing in your bedroom. The inexpensive cost made up for the usage of earplugs.
