Kelly the host went over and above for my partners 40th birthday stay by adding bunting and balloons etc , made my partners 40th that little bit better . Can’t thank her enough and the property was exactly as advertised , the whole family had a brilliant stay very highly recommended and will be booking again when next in the area .

Lovely old building with loads of character and that extended to the room. Large bathroom and room with antique style furniture. Comfortable bed. Location perfect. Breakfast very tasty..

Really small point but would have liked a small table in my room next to sofa so when having tea while watching TV had somewhere to put my drink down rather than floor . Breakfast only seems to have one staff member to take and deliver and cook orders so definitely need to stick to exact time slot for your breakfast. Otherwise no tables available and would be chaotic. I arrived st my allocated time and one table only free. It just would take some guests to linger to cause problems.

Bed was very comfy. Good Location for us. £6 parking per night and you can come and go as much as you want. Breakfast had a lot of choice but the restaurant was too hot.

Was expecting a hotel but it felt more like a Premier Inn We were told at reception we had a superior double. I don't know what was superior about it. The bathroom was tiny, the carpet was very patterned but you could still see stains on it. Our remote control didn't work so we went to reception and told them, after checking in the draws she said she would try and get us another but one never arrived. We were on the ground floor which suited us but we ended up walking down corridor after corridor including 2 small sets of steps. The reception had a lovely air freshener smell but as we got further away from reception the corridors began to smell damp and a bit like sewerage. A lot of the fixtures were worn, in the restaurant the chairs were worn through to the foam.
