Comfortable room in a quiet location. Good selection of Ales in the bar. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast to start your day in the morning. Highly recommended.

The location is nice. Very clean. Beautiful views, but of course depending on the room received. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the fact that the shower and bath were separate.

Not as attentive on the phones unless you’re ordering room service. When ordering room service I requested the turkey rasher (halal) club sandwich. They still ended up sending me bacon. I was extremely sick after this, and very embarrassed. It took me three days to recover. Not what I expected from a 5* hotel. I was offered free breakfast for my next stay, but I don’t think I’ll be returning. The sauna was closed for future refurbishment. Meaning nothing is being refurbished at the moment, but they have future plans to.

The rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable and furniture in keeping with hotel age and style. Very homely rooms.

We were not keen on the dining room furniture or the breakfast itself. Felt like food cooked en mass and warm when served, toast was cold. The black pudding was not good quality. It felt cheaply done. Though staff served with a warm smile.

The lifts were painfully busy (one was out of service) and the signage around the hotel could be improved as it’s a bit of a confusing maze. You can see where you want to go (lots of glass and atrium) but tricky to actually find a path to it.
