Positive section of review
The apartment is nice and airy, with lots of living space. The direct access to the garden from the kitchen/living area is perfect. The beds are really comfy, you can barely feel the zipped-up seam in the middle. Good equipment of crockery, pots and pans in the kitchen. A small jug of milk was made available on arrival, along a couple of single-use instant coffee packets, which was nice. Finally, to note that we really enjoyed how quiet the resort was, despite being at capacity.

The livingroom furniture is a bit tired, the rug, especially would need deep cleaning or a replacement. The kitchen is not really equipped with any of the basics (instant coffee, tea, sugar, salt, olive oil etc) which is not ideal and nowadays very unusual for a self-catering accommodation. The curtains in the bedroom are not blackout, which is not ideal in the Scottish summer.

Very pleasantly surprised by the location and pleasant surroundings. Staff are exceptional, helpful, friendly and polite. The hotel is well maintained and an excellent level of cleanliness. Big bonus for ample parking

Restaurant and breakfast. This is our second stay and we have encountered the same problems both times: the tables in the indoor seating are too low, the tabletop rests on your thighs and inevitably, getting in and out is difficult and results in drinks being spilt. Tea is served in a coffee pot; guess what, it tastes like coffee. Poached eggs ordered as soft turn up hard. Breakfast items empty and not replenished quickly. The toaster - once through the bread is white, twice through it is burnt. I know there are controls on the toaster regulating speed, but I don’t fiddle with those things in hotels. The employees are responsive when asked but don’t tend to make their own checks if everything is okay. This will be our last stay at the hotel.

Rooms are in serious need of an update. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast was poor quality.
