Clean comfortable and walking distance to the village and restaurants. Casey was very helpful with recommendations for day trips and paces of interest. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices we would have liked to have stayed longer if time permitted.

The hotel is about to go a major renovation so not all the facilities were available but this had been made perfectly clear. The team running the hotel were extremely helpful and welcoming.

The Nook was immaculate, spotlessly clean, kitchen had everything we needed and parking place. The master bedroom also had an ensuite. Location for what we needed was great.

We liked everything! Could have done with more towels as we only had 2 hand towels between the 3 of us apart from that I would highly recommend this place, it was lovely

Lovely home for a week. Bed was so comfy, perfect location for local amenities and very quiet. Neighbours were very friendly. Off street parking was a bonus too.

Cabin in serious need of upgrading. Bathroom old and a bit damp. Kitchen adequate but absolutely minimally stocked. Cabins are very close together.

We booked one night here on our way home from West Sussex. We’d stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed the hotel. This time though, things have gone downhill. As it was a Friday night, we booked a table in the hotel’s dining room. The booking was confirmed in writing. On arrival at around 3 pm we noticed a sign board outside saying dining room closed for dinner. At check in, neither of the staff volunteered this information; we had to ask. They ‘didn’t know why’ the kitchen was closed - or maybe they did and didn’t want to tell us. We then spent some time trying to get a dinner reservation in Rugby on a busy Friday night. Instead of relaxing over a meal without having to go outside, we had to get taxis into town. The hotel had our contact information but failed to have the courtesy to let us know before arrival. Very poor attitude towards guests. The room itself (a suite) is tired and scruffy. The heating is inadequate, as there were two portable heaters. There are insufficient plug sockets in the bedroom area. The desk did not have a mirror above it. The only mirror upstairs was outside the bathroom. The hairdryer was one which should have been wall mounted, but wasn’t. Cobwebs on the lampshades. Dust on the carpet edges. Veneer on bedside tables badly peeling. Lighting very poor everywhere. Just two individual cartons of UHT milk. Curtains hanging off the pole. I didn’t dare check the state of the pillows etc. There is a big generator outside which hummed all night. The only plus was the hot water!! We would not recommend this place - there’s a Premier Inn just down the road!
