From our room there was a view of the three forth bridges, which was tremendous. Don't know if there are many with that view though. Food (evening meal) was pretty good and not extortionate but overall the hotel is overpriced for the location in April. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Staff were friendly and efficient. It was an airport stayover when others nearer were fully booked so bit expensive for that, particularly since parking at airport becomes an add on.

Having had stayed previously, the Alona never seems to disappoint. Absolutely great location, especially if you want to chill after a long day one the road (in my case). You can chill in your room, bar, restaurant or go for a nice walk in the park. The location is absolutely gorgeous and gives access to motorway into Glasgow and Edinburgh. The staff are always very warm and welcoming and always professional. The food in the restaurant is very good too.

It was very quiet and peaceful. The shower was good. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful and showed us the red kites swooping down into the garden where she fed them. Brilliant.

The flat was clean and cozy. The kitchen and washing machine suited our needs perfectly. Netflix was wonderful.

The environment of main entrance was a bit messy. The car park had the feel of playing "Bio Hazard". Hot water not enough for 3 continuous showers.

We were not informed before we booked that we would have to go through the restaurant to get to our room. It was extremely uncomfortable doing so especially as we had to skirt around a large table of people celebrating a birthday; we would not have booked the room if we had known this in advance. Just a small issue but the towels were in a cupboard in the bathroom - as they are normally on the bed when you check into a property we assumed that we didn't have any and called the porter which was rather embarrasing! It's also a shame that there's no breakfast included. We felt that our stay really wasn't worth the money we paid, we wouldn't stay again.
